”We are badly conflicted about this hotel. It is truly a 5 star luxury hotel with incredible finishes and service. The restaurant is also terrific as are the staff. So what is our problem? Samuel McClure must be rolling over in his grave at the mis matched furniture and decorations , the multitude of odd garden statues placed aimlessly everywhere , and the requirement that you must go outside and get wet after dinner to get back to your room. ”Hotel was great!! Location is perfect for anyone who just wants to park the car and walk everywhere. Restaurant is very very good! Great quality and variety of options. Waiters were really knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. We only had a slight issue with the time it took for the valet to bring the car around but they made it up to us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Victoria. It’s the same quality if not better than the Empress, which we have stayed at before. ...

”I liked the privacy of coming and going from room without having to take elevator thru hotel and then walk blocks to let dog go to bathroom. We can go right out back, grassy area and picnic table. Nice cozy olace”
