”Room was clean but for the almost $400/night it was definitely underwhelming, VERY old and the amenities in the rooms were not worth $400.
We arrived to almost deafening music from the lounge/bar, so loud you could barely hear the clerk!!! This continued until late into the evening so be aware if you’re looking for peace and quiet or on a business trip and need to work in the morning.
Best and only thing that can be said is the room was clean.”

”Very accommodating to early check in request. A very cosy little cottage just a tiny bit on the small side. Two suitcases - not a lot of space to have them both open. Very clean, great area - peaceful and beautiful grounds - views were lovely. Would def stay there again if in Victoria. Was not able to take advantage of the breakfast unfortunately, but the menu looked delicious!”

”The room was clean and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful, even though we couldn't get the T.V. to work, (we are not at all technical). Big bonus being dog friendly.
The free breakfast was really nice with waffles, sausages, eggs, muffins and yogurt. And we had an upgrade to a king size bed! We will definately recoment THe Waddling Dog, and we will be back!”

”The windows in our room were so dirty that it was hard to see the view.
The rug was thread bear and had a hole that had been poorly repaired with the rug pad showing through . The gardens may have been lovely in years gone by but clearly aren’t getting any attention now.
For almost $400 Canadian/ night I would expect more attention to detail and care for this beautiful old home.
I won’t return”

”Only having street parking is an issue as neighbours also rely on street. Building is well kept, really like the location and neighbourhood as well. Our charming room was the smallest and we saw larger would have been available at same price. Lots of stairs, not a problem if your knees are good!”
