The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. ”

Even offered to check on us if we needed it. The house itself was cozy and well kept. We had the pleasure of having a nice dog hang out outside our door. ”Very nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby café, and I got my breakfast served at the table.
