”We booked a junior suite for a 2 night stay in Newcastle in April. My wife found this hotel online as we wanted to stay in town for a change. We arrived by car - option of valet parking (£40) or park at the lot behind the hotel - hotel as an air of Ralph Lauren interiors about it and the room was very clean. Some issues; the window light left watching TV impossible and the bath wasn't able to produce hot water. Oddly the sink and shower were fine. The bar area was dimly lit (not dark) and...

”Stayed at INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle and it absolutely delivers. Prime Quayside location, slick modern rooms, and everything just works, clean, comfortable, and well thought out. The complimentary minibar is a nice touch and the river views are an absolute bonus. Service is spot on, friendly, efficient, no fuss. Food at Gino D’Acampo Newcastle is genuinely very good and rounded off my stay nicely. Simple: great hotel, no weak points, would 100% stay again.”

”Good hotel, fairly dog friendly, good location near Ouseburn. Very nice and spacious room.”

”Very spacious room. Bed could have been a little more comfortable but was adequate. Close to many walkable sites. The room access cards kept failing once or twice a day which was annoying but all the staff were helpful and friendly. Laundry was a pain as it was very expensive and had to be provided to them by 8am if you wanted it back the same day. We took an Uber to a coin laundry and it took an hour and was cheaper including the cost of the Uber there and back”

”We stayed for one week due to a conference trip. - The biggest negative comes from the very stinking room. Even though the air conditioning was effective you can't air the room as windows don't open. All the clothes smell really bad now - The bed very noisy and uncomfortable. Anytime anyone moved in the bed it made a loud noise, woke up for that several times in the night, also had very uncomfortable pillows. - The sheets had stains - Not noise proof room as advertised in the room description!...
