The Indian Peaks lodge is spectacular, and we were able to cross-country ski on the trails as part of our lodging. The ski trails were wonderfully groomed, a very nice experience!

This is such a great place. Work very well for our over night. But just a few observations: shower had mildew in some areas and could use a magic eraser to make it more white on base( floor of tub) And there was leaves the corners ( bathroom) just needed a little extra work/ attention to detail.

It’s a very reasonable price compared to all the other lodging near winter park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s basic service compared to fancier lodging. So if you need a TV and other options in the same building it may not work for you. For families in need of a reasonable price place it’s just right.

This property was incredibly dated and in and of itself that wouldn't be a problem. It was the secondary issues created from that that really made the place inconvenient. There was very limited lighting in all the rooms making it very dark. There was a fairly constant musty smell again likely because of the property age. The room did not include a TV at all. The shower/tub didn't drain. The property was cheap to stay at and it was a bed but if I was going to be there for any extended period of time more than just the one night we did book I probably wouldn't stay at this location.

This is a gigantic ranch run by the YMCA. There is another outside Estes Park. The grounds are stunning and there are tons of free activities and there are ski areas and hot springs near by. On previous visits, I learned to avoid the cafeteria. I rented a deluxe family room and when I arrived was assigned an old, nasty room in an old lodge and that was all they had. All the nearby hotels were fully booked. I was staying with a group and had to surrender to the situation. The smells were bad, the beds were awful, the room was only moderately clean, they fixed the light in the bathroom but there was no brush to clean the toilet. The ostentatious little piece of bad soap they provide was in one of those fancy impossible to open wrappers. When I have stayed in the past, the rooms three times as nice and that's what I paid for but they didn't save one of those for me even though I reserved it. Frustrating, but the place itself is lovely. I think the staff do the best they can with what they have to work with.

Would like to have had coffee in my building. It was empty in the morning. I stayed at Indian Peaks Lodge. Only Lipton Decaf tea available.

Family friendly
We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. It’s a very family friendly place- we did Nordic skiing, tubing, roller skating and crafts. Check in says 6pm, but we got our rooms at 3pm. The rooms are basic and older. However, perfect for way to enjoy the mountains at a reasonable price. The rooms come with bar soap, so make sure to bring own shampoo.

The location is beautiful and there were lots of things to do. it is not luxurious but I think that attracts more pleasant, down to earth people. I had a wonderful time and will return.

Place had different activities to do indoors & outdoors. The rooms could have been a little cleaner. The rooms are out dating and no tv in the rooms so you need to bring things to entertain the kids when you’re in the room. Would have been nice to k ow that the pool is not open due to it needing work. I would go back and enjoy the property again.

We have stayed at all of the lodges and find them to be comfortable and quiet. You won’t be in your room much though because of all of the fun things to do and beautiful scenery! It is our favorite place to XC ski!

This was our 40th plus year of hosting a young people's cross country ski race. Staying and working with the Y is way and above a reason for our programs continuing success. Awesome Hospitality, great rates and continued staff excellence made our stay this weekend superlative.

We went for a few days of Nordic skiing. Great trails with a nice variety of terrain, nicely groomed, spectacular vistas in every direction. Room was comfortable, well-lit, plenty of hot water. Microwave and fridge means you can save a few $$ on meals with some advance planning. The dining commons serves good, healthy meals at a reasonable price. We liked the fact that there was no TV and there was a family atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised by how many amenities there were beyond the skiing: a pool, pickleball, crafts, dog sledding, climbing wall, and much more.

Great stay, easy drive to tubing.
Great stay. Many free activities for kids. Beautiful views. Rooms are very standard but we knew that when we reserved. They are basic no frills rooms. Beds were comfortable. Much better than the $500 a night we would have had to pay to stay at a commercial hotel! Kids enjoyed roller skating and playing basketball in the gym.

The room was fine, dated but ok. The staff was friendly, but we arrived early and could not check in. They said they would call us when it was ready.. we had to check back several time to get our room. The pool was closed, buckboard Cafe was closed, we missed lunch at the commons, had to wait 4 hours till dinner. The tubing on snow hill was closed, the craft shop was closed, the vending machines in our lodge did not work. We got a room with on the first floor so our son could play outside in the snow. It's a pet friendly hotel and someone's dog left a big dump right outside our sliding door. It's on the pet owner, not housekeeping, but it was the "cherry on top" of the stay. We drove straight thru from Houston, 20 hrs and were disappointed we could not do any of the activities we wanted to when we arrived. Not going to stay, leaving in the morning.it was highly recommend by my good friend, i guess call ahead and make sure the activites you want to do will be open when you stay.

Pretty cool family resort. The facilities were dated, and could be cleaner but were fairly comfortable. Lots of families, and hallway/common area noise.
