”This hotel was a nice find, excellent quality for the price. The building is a bit run down outside, but we were there off-season and it seemed there was a lot of maintenance going on. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. They even served a breakfast, which was adequate. The location is wonderful, right next to the beach!”

”The rooms were clean and the pools were clean. The only issue is the beach access. If you are handicapped or have bad knees the beach access is terrible. I fell twice.”

”Great beach getaway. Liked the hotel setup with convenient pool and beach access. Located in a less busy area along the beach but still had good dining and activities nearby. Kids loved the climbing adventure park in Corolla.”

”I loved the location and staff, the only suggestion would be easier access to gym equipment and better food options at breakfast. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!”

”The floors were very sandy. I just checked my credit card and I was charged $200.00 for the pet fee that I was quoted $100.00. Their dog park was full of holes and tall weeds. I asked when they were going to cut the tall weeds and 5 days later the weeds all around the hotel still hadn’t been cut. For a Marriott that place needed a lot of maintenance work inside and outside. The breakfast was okay and the clean up ladies were very nice.”

It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? ”Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!”

Cons- There are no hooks in the bathroom sink area to hang your hand towels.
