Since its completion in 1924, Swasey Chapel has been Denison’s most iconic structure. The chapel seats 990 and plays host to notable campus events such as baccalaureate services, lectures, concerts, and academic award convocations.
Swasey Observatory, which opened in June 1910, houses a 9-inch refracting telescope as well as two 8-inch reflecting telescopes fitted for astrophotography. It also houses an astronomy library and dark rooms.
The inflorescence of wild teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) is a cylindrical array of lavender flowers which dries to a brown cone of spine-tipped hard bracts.
A microcosm of plant life on the forest floor, different types of mosses and a broad-leaf evergreen ground cover sporting red berries. Spring Valley consists of 45 acres of property with hiking trails on the ridge and in the valley along the waters of Salt Run.

Lovely cottage in a great location for walking around charming Granville. Always a great stay. Kitchen is well stocked and gas fireplaces are a nice cozy touch.

Balcony was very scenic. I loved everything about our stay. It would have been nice if the tavern was open. That was the only letdown.

Beautiful place to stay- had a lovely dinner after we checked and then took a long walk around the neighborhood before bed. Property was stunning and the town was safe and so many beautiful homes and businesses!
