”Updated review- this motel has freight train tracks right behind the building. If you want to be woken up at ~ 2 AM to the sound of a train stay here…”

”I did not appreciate having the tv on set to Fox News when I first entered my room.”

”Very clean!!! Bathroom was bright. Great value!”

”Staff were friendly and helpful. Obviously very old motel that had few updates and paint covered up structural and cosmetic problems. Our room smelled awful. Sleep surface linens and bath towels were clean, however bed skirt had dust/… and had not been washed. Mattress was very very hard and uncomfortable. Very obvious the supporting hotel chain was just looking for profit, the staff had little to work with. You had to pay for WiFi, no public television stations, early or late check in/out cost...

”East Rock was a nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay. Everything was great, and I enjoyed my stay.”

”Rooms and bed were clean. Breakfast was good. The toilet didn't flush well. Parking was easy and convenient. Hotel location was good, near towns and attractions.”

”Enjoyed staying in the old hotel and loved the large porch with the bar to relax on.”

”I was surprised that a quality group like IHG would let their room run down like the one we had, Rm 237. The bedroom and L/R were fine but the minute I walked in the door into a very old, 80's kitchen, i was disappointed. The bottom drawer of the stove was hang out and off its track, the kitchen cabinet doors were losing their laminate and I actually got a little slice in my finger from this as I attempted to open the cabinet under the sink to throw away some trash. I just retired in June and...

”You get what you pay for. Safe and easy to check in and out, but dated and in need of appreciable maintenance. No real amenities to speak of; staff was polite enough.”

”Clean, cozy, and charming. The breakfast is delicious and all went smoothly.”

”My husband and I had high hopes for this B&B based on reports on the web. But we realized on arriving that the innkeeper(s) were no where in sight and when I had a question about the TV and called and left my phone number, no one called back. In addition, there was no common room like most B&Bs so if my husband wanted to go to bed early, I had no where to go. Breakfast was brought to the room the day before and if you didn't want to eat what they brought, breakfast stopped arriving. All the...

”We were in town for a show at Tanglewood in Lenox. Concert had been rescheduled with little notice; so it put us in a tight spot with no time to add time to being in the Berkshires. I just looked for an inexpensive overnight to just sleep before heading back home the following morning. I wasn't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. Our little room was clean and felt safe. We could open the windows! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We slept great. The location was...
