”What an amazing find! The perfect place for us as a family to unwind after a busy day of sight seeing. The perfect base surrounded by nature and animals, all of us loved it. ”Very corporate. Premier Inn and Travelodge do it better. We did complain about the quilt and it was replaced. Expect better quality bedding - lumpy pillows and duvets should not be allowed. Poor taste in bedroom art - who wants to wake up to bugs?”

”A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !”

”A pleasant stay in a lovely big room. Very clean in room and comfortable. The communual are looked tatty, particularly the brown carpet which needs replacing. Breakfast was ok but a bit cold.”

”Good news - Free parking for guests. Bad news - No restaurant, no bar, some tea and coffee in room, no phone, hairdryer or safe in room. Shower tray cracked, cracks in wall plaster and a tv with a 2 pin plug to insert into a 3 pin socket we thought was dangerous Extremely basic and a lot run down. Stayed before our flight from Luton basic accommodation at a cheap price.”

”Very good stay, if you have a car. Without a car, no chance. Oxford city around 20min away. Clean, quite big room. Okay bed. Nothing special, but everyrhing worked. No restaurant. Breakfast was poor. No fridge. ”

”I feel bad that I have had to give a mix rating because I feel everything about our stay was going well until I suffered food poisoning. I woke up at 2am in a lot of pain and spent two hours in the bathroom vomiting. Earlier that day I had the king prawns and at dinner I had the flat iron steak. Immediately after my dinner I felt a discomfort but did not think anything of it. When we checked out on 26th May I mentioned this to the receptionist who said there was nothing she could do and I should...

”The inn was nice, in a small very compact and nice village centre. The room was very clean and comfortable. The wireless worked without problems. I plan to stay here again when my travels take me there.”

”This was my second and last time in this hotel. The first room didn’t have hot water and after the reception gave me another room, the bathtub plug didn’t work. When asking for someone to help with the bathtub plug, the reception registered the request, however no one ever came to see the issue. Having purchased the room in this hotel specifically because of bathtub access, I unfortunately did not get the value I expected. ”

”Kids liked the large room and gardens. Comfortable and an easy drive from Harry Potter studios.”
