”This was such a perfect place to stay and I'll definitely stay here whenever going to Chicago. It was close enough to downtown to make it easy to access, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The staff were all friendly and kind, the room was beautiful, the bed was very comfy, and the whole place had such a fun vibe and great decor. Breakfast was tasty and the menu options felt like something you'd order at your favorite fancy brunch spot, with fruit and pastries to round it...

”The hostess was great, the breakfasts were ample (large helping of fresh fruit salad and breakfast casserole) plus lots of coffee. When Diane found out that one person had a gluten allergy, she quickly prepared a substitute for the casserole.
The rooms were very pleasant and air conditioned.”

”From the time we arrived on bicycles to when we departed, Gwen was an incredibly helpful hostess! And those welcoming cookies...Gwen also helped us find the best way out of town to our next day's destination, after a wonderful breakfast. The house is perched atop Hamilton Mountain, with incredible views over the city. It was a very special "overnight" for us!

”What a unique, historical property. The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. However, the entire house looks a little tired and scruffy and in need of some deep cleaning and TLC. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty!”

”Wonderful stay at The Pine Cottage for our son’s wedding. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious! We experienced a little mishap with some of our luggage due to torrential and unpredictable rain. Caroline was extremely helpful and accommodating and ensured that we were cared for. We all appreciated her calm and understanding demeanour and the situation was resolved quickly and appropriately. Thank you for making our stay one to remember!”
