”The breakfast was brilliant ”

”We booked a superior room with a sea view. It was everything you could want. The view over the water was superb. The fit out was great. The convenience to the ferry terminal was great as was the access to the bus. The breakfast basket was as comprehensive as we have ever had and satisfied our requirements excellently. As for Isle of Man, we did not know what to expect but it far exceeded our expectations, The steam train, the vintage electric railway, the train up the mountain and horse drawn...

”We had a two night stay at the Welbeck Hotel. Whilst the decor in the room appeared dated, it was very clean and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.”

”Huoneeni oli tilava ja siisti. Rakennus oli vanha, mutta huone oli remontoitu nykyajan vaatimukset täyttäviksi. Rappuset huoneeseen oli tosin kapeat (mutta hissikin oli). Aamupala oli ilmaiseksi hyvä (muroja, jugurttia, paahtoleipää, mehua, teetä ja kahvia). Respa oli auki vain aamuisin. Muina aikoina sitä hoidettiin etänä läheisestä hotellista, joka oli ihan toimiva järjestely. Aulassa oli puhelin, jolla etärespaan sai helposti yhteyden.”

”I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels.”

”The opel express was very clean and the breakfast very good with plenty of choice the room had excellent amenities provided ,with a kettle in room and tea coffee and water topped up daily, only saw staff at breakfast and checkout, it was self check in with key to room left in a safe, the room did have a ceiling fan which was very noisy and could only use with the light on, I was there during a very hot period so not much comfort throughout the night, the view from the room was not good looking...

”Loved the comfy bed and ease back down to the Prom! We walked to Queen for dinner and parked the rental without problems!! We did fine with many flights of stairs. Great location!!!!”

”Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice.”

”Generally a good hotel and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good. Our family room looked very tired. In particular, the carpet, net curtains and bathroom sink need to be replaced and modernised.”

”No complaints. Beds were very comfortable and warm, despite it being chilly in the evenings. Great location too for quarterbridge, bray hill and even the fan park if you’re happy to walk for a bit. ”

”Great property and location. Loads of parking but I did find the gravel a bit challenging with a big motorcycle. Plan to stay again.”

”Spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfasts (if you have the 'Full Manx' you may not need to eat again for the rest of the day!). Downstairs is a no-frills pub with good bar meals in the evening. Separate breakfast room for the mornings. I had a spacious ensuite room upstairs. Nothing special, but comfortable and worth the money that I paid. I would stay here again.”

”We rented a luxury apartment. It had a spacious living area with all you need for self catering. Housekeeper there to welcome us and show us to the room. Like the fact you can have your apartment serviced - clean towels etc. If you have a car there are reserved spaces out the back in the car park. Only negatives were the apartment we rented was on the top floor (three flights of stairs) - no lift. So with heavy baggage it’s hard work but not a real problem for us. Bedroom is very small and...
