Villa Gaia Modern on upouusi talo, joka on rakennettu vuonna 2018. Huvila sopii sekÀ perheille ettÀ ihmisryhmille, jotka haluavat unohtumattomia lomia Kreetalla. Se sijaitsee rauhallisella alueella Skouloufian kylÀssÀ, 18 km pÀÀssÀ Rethymnonista. Huvila on rakennettu kahdessa kerroksessa. SillÀ on kaksi pihaa, grillipaikka ja yksityinen pysÀköintialue. Talossa on kaikkiaan neljÀ verantaa, joista yksi uima-altaan edessÀ, jossa vieraat voivat rentoutua ja nauttia ruokia tai juomia sekÀ kauniit nÀkymÀt merelle ja Rethymnon kaupunkiin, mutta myös maaseudulle ja Psiloritis-vuorelle . Se sopii jopa 8 henkilölle. SiellÀ on neljÀ makuuhuonetta, joista kaikista on nÀköala merelle. Kahdessa makuuhuoneessa on parivuode ja muissa kahdessa kaksi erillistÀ vuodetta. Kaikissa huoneissa on pÀÀsy verannoille. SiellÀ on myös tÀysin varustettu keittiö ja tilava ruokasali ja takkahuone sekÀ ÀlykÀs sat-TV. Talossa on kaksi kylpyhuonetta, joista toisessa on poreallas. Huvilan ympÀrillÀ on monia kyliÀ, joissa on tavernoja, minimarkkinoita, huoltoasemia ja apteekkia. LÀhellÀ on myös monia historiallisia nÀhtÀvyyksiÀ, kuten Arkadin luostari ja arkeologinen sijainti sekÀ Muinaisen Eleythernan museo. LÀhin ranta on vain 6 km pÀÀssÀ huvilasta ja Rethymnonin kaupunki on vain 18 km pÀÀssÀ.

Traumhaft schön

Top Vermieter, sehr Gastfreundlich und eine sehr gute Kommunikation vor Ort. Wir sind erst abends angekommen und der Gastgeber Empfang uns mit einem sehr leckeren Abendessen. Auch fĂŒr das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war gesorgt. Eine solche Gastfreundlichkeit findet man eher selten. Zum Abschied gab es dann noch ein kleines persönliches PrĂ€sent, zur Erinnerung an den Urlaub. 100% Weiterempfehlung! Ausstattung sehr geschmackvoll, mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht und einem tollen Außenbereich.

Traumhafte Villa in toller Lage

Die Villa Gaia modern entspricht in jedem Punkt der Beschreibung. Die Gastfreundschaft von Ioannis und Zacharias war ĂŒberragend. Wir sind spĂ€t abends angekommen und wurden mit einem tollen griechischen Abendessen ĂŒberrascht. Lage ist sehr ruhig ĂŒber dem Meer und doch zentral ca. 20 Minuten von Rethymno. Können wir uneingeschrĂ€nkt empfehlen.

What a stay

Absolutely loved it. House is amazing, up in the hills away from the crowds. Giannis and his family couldn’t have done more! Mother made us a lunch when we arrived, dropped round with Easter Cookies for the kids and were on hand if we needed anything. Loved every minute!

Magnifique séjour hors saison !

Nous avons passĂ© une magnifique semaine chez Zacharias ; la maison Ă©tait formidable et idĂ©alement placĂ©e pour visiter les deux cotĂ©s de l'Ăźle. QuiĂ©tude totale dans sur le hauteurs de la CrĂšte, mais assez proche toute fois des plages et des commerces. Et que dire de notre hĂŽte qui nous aura accueilli avec un diner 100% prĂ©parĂ© maison, tout ce qu'il faut pour le 1er petit dĂ©jeuner, et nous aura mĂȘme offert un petit souvenir au moment du dĂ©part. Bref : une rĂ©ussite totale ; merci Zacharias.

Very relaxing stay in a quiet and beautiful place

We very much enjoyed the stay in this beautiful house. The house provides a lot of space and we enjoyed the pool a lot. The owner familiy provided us a very nice welcome with freshly cooked food and a filled fridge. This was very convenient, since we (2 adults + 2 kids) arrived late in the evening. Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Wir waren Anfang September 2024 in der Ferienunterkunft und es hat uns so gut gefallen. Alles war sauber, sehr schönes Haus in einer ruhigen Lage mit Blick aufs Meer und abends sieht man die wunderschönen SonnenuntergĂ€nge. Wir kamen erst spĂ€t abends dort an, aber selbst um 10 Uhr abends war der Gastgeber persönlich vor Ort, hat uns alles gezeigt und erklĂ€rt und hat uns sogar mit selbst gebackenen Abendessen seiner Mutter ĂŒberrascht. Auch fĂŒr unseren Sohn gab es Spielsachen vor Ort und der Pool war fĂŒr ihn - und uns - natĂŒrlich ein Highlight. Der Gastgeber war immer freundlich und nett und man konnte Ihn jederzeit erreichen. Vielen Dank fĂŒr die tolle Zeit vor Ort - gerne wieder :-)

Super Aufenthalt

Wir hatten zehn super Tage im Haus Gaia! Ein gerĂ€umiges Haus, schöne, funktionelle Zimmer, die 2 BĂ€der sind etwas klein, aber fĂŒr uns ausreichend. In der KĂŒche ist alles vorhanden, auch SpĂŒlmaschine und Waschmaschine, was fĂŒr uns immer sehr wichtig ist. Saftpresse fĂŒr frischen Orangensaft. Der Pool sehr sauber, regelmĂ€ĂŸig gereinigt. Das GrundstĂŒck fast un einsehbar, mit einem herrlichen Fernblick und Meerblick, liegt nur knapp 15 Minuten vom Strand entfernt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es jede Menge in 15 Minuten Entfernung. Zwei tolle Tavernen in der jeweils 1 km Abstand, da kann man locker hin laufen in einem kleinen Abend Spaziergang. Man braucht natĂŒrlich ein Auto, hat da einen super Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr viele Unternehmungen, Schluchten, kleine buchten und StrĂ€nde und vieles mehr. Wir wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die nĂ€chst grĂ¶ĂŸere Stadt, Rethymnon ist nur 20 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt, auch wunderbar zum bummeln oder einkehren in „Old Town“. Der Gastgeber, Zacharias, Ă€ußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren zu sechst in dem Haus, wir Eltern mit drei Töchtern 14,20 und 24, eine mit Freund.

Fantastic holiday villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Gaia. The villa was clean and spacious with fantastic outside space. It was in a quiet, rural location however was still convenient for local restaurants, supermarkets and the beach and there were many things to do within an hour’s drive (including the airport). Zacharias was a generous and kind host. He insisted on meeting us at the villa despite us not arriving until after midnight. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Perfect trip

The property was stunning, plenty of room for everyone , spotlessly clean and a good location with fantastic views. The host was fantastic and his Mum even cooked us a home made meal on our first night which was both unexpected and greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Amazing Villa

This is a beautiful villa, very modern and perfect for a family holiday. The pool isn’t too deep and is the same depth throughout so perfect for children. The views from the villa are stunning and we would recommend staying in this villa. The owner is also lovely and very helpful if you need anything.

Splendide ! Villa Gaia une valeure sûre !

Maison idĂ©alement placĂ©e pour visiter l'ile. La maison de Zacharias est extrĂȘmement confortable avec un Ă©quipement complet pour toute la famille. On s y sent trĂšs bien. Tout y est et si vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit vous pouvez compter sur Zacharias. Il est au petit soins pour vous. La maison est dĂ©corĂ©e avec grand soin, "comme dans les magazines" . Elle est trĂšs lumineuse en journĂ©e. Les lumiĂšres extĂ©rieures et intĂ©rieures illuminent la maison le soir. L'hygiene est impeccable. Maison adaptĂ©e pour personne Ă  mobilitĂ© rĂ©duite. mon papa est restĂ© au rez de chaussĂ©e dans la chambre du bas. Il a fait le tour exterieur de la maison car adaptĂ©e pour le fauteuil. La climatisation est dans toutes les piĂšces si besoin. Les piĂšces sont vastes. Plusieurs terrasses Ă  l Ă©tage permettent de se poser et d admirer le paysage mer et montagne. L'accueil de Zacharias est exemplaire. Gentillesse , douces attentions sont au rendez-vous. Sa maman nous a cuisinĂ© de bons plats pour notre arrivĂ©e. Bref,aucune hĂ©sitation vous faites le bon choix en rĂ©servant la villa gaia.

Lovely stay and exceptional hosts

We were a party of two families, four adults and four teenage children. The property is around 20 minutes from the coast and cars are a must but this was perfect for us as we prefer to stay in quieter areas. The pool is great and would be ideal for younger children too as it is not too deep and all one level. The villa is modern but traditionally furnished and well equipped. The beds are quite firm which was fine for most of us, but one has a bad back and found the bed too hard. However the hosts went above and beyond and sourced a mattress topper for us. Zacharias and his family are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and happy to help with any questions. On arrival they had prepared a delicious meal for us and a homemade cake . It was very special and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Wir wurden freundlich mit einem leckeren Abendessen empfangen. Das Haus war einfach perfekt! Sauber, modern eingerichtet, mit liebevollen kleinen Details. Jedes Zimmer lĂ€dt zum Verweilen ein. Der Außenbereich und der Pool waren herrlich. Jeden Abend konnten wir einen zauberhaften Sonnenuntergang genießen. Unsere Gastgeber waren freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! incredible Villa with super friendly host

The villa is as advertised. Everything you need and more is available in the villa. The pool is nice and you have an incredible view of the sunset. One thing that impressed me the most was the hospitality of the host. The host's mother cooked a whole meal for us (7 people!) free of charge because we arrived late in the afternoon and she was afraid we wouldn't have anything to eat. I have never experienced anything like that at a holiday destination. For my birthday, Mr. Zacharias even bought some sweets. Again, super friendly! He didn't have to do that. I appreciated that very much. I can only recommend the villa and Mr Zacharias. Cheers Arne

Fantastique et excellent

Un paradis sur l'Ăźle ! Des hĂŽtes d'une gentillesse et d'une dĂ©licatesse exceptionnelles qui nous ont attendus et accueillis en pleine nuit avec le repas prĂ©parĂ© et des cadeaux de bienvenue de leur production personnelle. La maison est magnifique, Ă  l'image des photos, spacieuse, romantique oĂč rien ne manque pour permettre de se sentir chez soi. La piscine est sans vis Ă  vis et trĂšs agrĂ©able. Les conseils de visite, de restaurant prodiguĂ©s par les propriĂ©taires Ă©galent leur gĂ©nĂ©rositĂ©. Un merveilleux sĂ©jour qui nous laisse des Ă©toiles plein les yeux. Fabulous Break

A beautiful late September week for 2 to recharge and our first post-Covid trip. Great weather and a very comfortable place to relax in. We mainly cooked for ourselves and the villa has most of what you need with supermarkets in Stavromenos 10 minutes back down the road. The wifi is fast enough that you won't notice any issues and Netflix and Amazon Prime are available on the Smart TV (you will need your own subscription though). Swimming pool was refreshing and the local cats very cute! The owner Zacharias was simply the best. An extremely tasty dinner was waiting for us on arrival and he dropped in with a couple of other treats during the week and was always available on the end of the phone to answer any queries. Thank you for all your help! If you need a rapid antigen test for return travel then numerous places are available in Rethymno and the process is simple at approx €25 per person. It felt so good to sit with a glass of Cretan wine and watch the superb sunset from the upper balcony and remember the joys of travelling. Highly recommended location, villa and owner! Just book it!

Amazing Trip

Amazing vacation

We stayed at the villa for 6 days and cannot recommend it enough. Zacharias is a very friendly and pleasant person and an amazing host. We received a warm welcome, even though we arrived late at night. He had even written us a card, to congratulate us because we recently got married. He checked in with us several times while we were there. The villa is spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The view is just wonderful and the surroundings are peaceful. We spent a lot of time by the pool, just enjoying the sun and the villa. We will definitely be back.

Sehr erholsam und ruhig

Ganz netter und herzlicher Vermieter . Wir kamen sehr spĂ€t an und ich fand es so unglaublich nett, denn der Vermitter hatte fĂŒr und Esssen vorbereitet. Das hatte ich noch nirgends erlebt und spiegelt einfach die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundlichkeit wider, die uns auf Kreta entgegen gebracht wurde. Die Betten waren fĂŒr mich etwas zu hart aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau Alles in Allem war es ein schöner, super erholsamer Urlaub. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Danke Zacharias fĂŒr den tollen Urlaub.

WONDERFUL PROPERTY :) would return in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful property. Incredible! From start to finish we could not have asked for better hosts or better accommodation. Our flights were delayed and the host waited for us at the property to welcome us. And welcomed us with the most delicious food that his mom had cooked for us! what a start to the holiday!! We were 2 families holidaying together , 3 adults and 5 children age (17,14,6,4,4) and the villa was just ideal for us. 4 perfect bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and dining room/kitchen/lounge, 2 big upstairs terraces (great views of the countryside down to the sea) and ample outdoors space with seating areas dotted around, some in sun and some in shade, to relax in, read a book, enjoy your coffee, etc. Little play area for the children outside to keep them occupied. The pool was clean and enjoyably cool for the hot weather. the location was great, in the countryside so that we had peace and quiet, only the sounds of the sheep passing by, and as we had cars, was easily accessible for us, in face great as we could get to the main road (chania to heraklion) easily for our day trips.went to different beaches every morning and then spent the afternoon at he pool and out for dinner in the evening. could not have asked for nicer accommodation for our holiday. I give a 5 star rating as thats what it deserves and I would recommend this property (and the hosts) to everyone!
