Situated in an enviable waterfront location, this family-friendly cottage is an outdoor enthusiast's dream hideaway. Launch the provided kayak from your private dock and explore the open waters. You’ll love the secluded-feeling setting on nearly 10 acres with 346 feet of frontage on Prong Pond. Spend fun-filled days hiking scenic trails, fishing, and exploring.

Start vacation mornings with your beverage of choice and take in the tranquil views on the covered porch. When it’s time to eat, fire up the gas grill and enjoy a home-style cookout. Gather around the wood-burning firepit and enjoy fireside chats once the stars come out.

Inside, the cottage exudes charm with floor-to-ceiling wood detail and rustic decor. Create hearty recipes in the well-equipped kitchen, detailed with a full suite of appliances and a three-seat kitchen bar. Gather for special meals at the adjacent dining table, then kick back and relax in the living room and watch TV. Extra perks include room darkening shades in the bedrooms and fast WiFi for remote work or online school.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Wonderful get away from it all

We had a great weekend getaway, fishing canoeing and kayaking. The fire pit was awesome to toast marshmallows and look at the stars. Everything was perfect.

Home away from home

The pictures did not do this property justice. It is absolutely beautiful and beyond peaceful. Aside from the location and set up being perfect for what we needed; the owner was communicative and helpful whenever questions arose. The only issues we had were related to accessibility. The dock, while wheelchair accessible, is not appropriate for those in a power wheelchair. This was easily remedied by bringing a transport chair. Also, a wheelchair accessible van rides very low and the trail has some spots that can damage the undercarriage. Once we realized that, it was fairly easy to navigate in and out from the main road. This may have been our first trip to the Sunrise Cottage but it definitely will not be our last!

Peaceful getaway

This is our 4th visit. My 81 year old mother really enjoys this annual getaway in the beautiful Greenville area. The cottage is spacious and accommodating and the new fire pit is a wonderful bonus. We’re already talking about next year’s visit.

Amazing!

Truly an amazing property, we will definitely be back! This was our first trip in a few years and our daughter who uses a wheelchair was thrilled to be able to access the full property. We were able to bring her toilet seat that rolls over the toilet and into the shower with us, making her feel right at home. She loved rolling down to the water and being able to watch our dog swim and play. A big thank you for having an accessible property!

It was absolutely breathtaking!! The pond if you can call it that was beautiful and bigger then any pond I’ve ever seen. My daughter was in love with the kitchen and everything they had there for you to use. The kids love the the kayaks and canoes during the day and playing the board games at night. We even did s’more‘s on the fire pit. The locals are Amazing and very friendly. All in all best family trip wish we wood have been there longer. The only bad thang was that there was no air conditioning.

Beautiful location

This was the perfect place to escape and unplug from everyday life. The house itself is beautiful, clean, and easily accommodated our family. Getting down to the water is a short walk along the ADA complaint ramp. This property is in a private, remote area with picturesque views all around.

Another Great Stay

Once again, we were not disappointed in our stay at Sunrise Cottage. This is our 3rd year we have stayed here and we look forward to keep coming back. We purchased a new pontoon boat this year which we kept at Beaver Cove Marina for the week. Holly & Donna were excellent hosts as always and it is so close to the camp that we spend as much time as we can on Moosehead. Days were spent on the lake or downtown and nights were spent relaxing or fishing and swimming on Prong Pond. It is so hard to find a truly wheelchair accessible vacation rental and this hits every mark. Thank you again Richard for this gem. We look forward to our stay next year and as long as you will have us. The Williams Clan

A little slice of heaven in Maine

We had an amazing stay and just what we needed. We used this as a family vacation for my family, my brother and my elderly mom. My nephew is wheelchair bound and my mom uses a walker. This was perfect, they had the ability to move around freely and access the majority of areas on the property. We hope to make this annual stay and can't wait to book for next year!

Solitude at its Best

Perfect Fathers Day

From start to finish this was a great getaway. The cabin is very clean, supplied with all you would need for a home away from home. The dock was perfect to go swimming on the hot days. Caught a few good size bass, loons at night and a duck family that came to visit. Very comfortable beds, secluded and private. We will be booking again.

Beautiful Tranquil Vacation

Enjoyed our stay in Greenville and this place was as advertised. Clean, comfortable and quiet, our family enjoyed the getaway. We used the kayak and canoe on the pond as well as the outdoor gas grill. Communication with the property owner/manager was always courteous and responsive. A few restaurants, shops and gas stations are all within 10-15 minutes if you need anything. Highly recommend!

A rare accessible gem in the Maine wilderness

Tucked away on the edge of Prong Pond, this cabin is such a rare find. Our family was so impressed with the accessibility of the rental home. The wheelchair friendly ramp down to the dock on the lake is just incredible. The house was clean, beautiful, and quiet. We went in October and saw some stunning foliage. This is a great home base for anyone exploring the Moosehead Lake region. Thank you for the nice stay!

Exceptionally well planned handicap cottage

Truly exceptionally handicap accessible. Beautiful comfortable cottage . We had three generations enjoying our time there. Two wheelchair guests with plenty of room and wonderful access to the water.
