”We really appreciated the restoration work here - they’ve kept the heritage feel of the hotel intact without making it feel dated. Despite being above a pub and right on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Great location for exploring North Sydney. The common room and kitchen was a lovely surprise. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus that made mornings easy.”

I booked a room with a deck but never used it , as its very enclosed so not much sun and all the rooms above can look right down on you. Nice and quiet at night and aircon kept perfect temperature. Only minus side would be non-free luggage storage.”

”The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is a superb historic pub in an old stone building in the Rocks neighborhood of Sydney just near Circular Quay 1 km and the southern end of Sydney harbour bridge. ”Everything was nice, but they misappropriated things that were left in the fridge by us inadvertently, which were our medicines and went to get them, they told us that the medicine had been thrown out. The Madisen was our insulin because we are diabetic independent. So we don't think much of this place at all.”
