”The stuff of the hotel was very friendly, helpful and polite. The location was perfect for me. Everything I needed was in the walk distance, even buses run only one block from the hotel. My room was very quiet and peaceful. Even the bathroom was shared with other two rooms, it didn't cause any problems. The breakfast was good. I recommend.”

”Great staff, good food, comfortable rooms, a bit run-down, like the whole area of La Mariscal. However, it is lively and safe outside in the night. Hopefully the whole area of the Mariscal is coming back. ”

”The property feels safer than any I’ve been it. The interior design is upbeat and unlike your average hotel. Great bedding, great tree top view allowed us to be entertained by mourning doves and hummingbirds. The breakfast was average for this area: eggs, fruit, fruit juice with or without sugar. In house roasted coffee. The manager and staff were efficient and friendly. We particularly liked Fernanda, the woman who served us breakfast on day one off three.”

”We arrived late at night, actually it was more like early morning. Rio Amazonas is one of the few hotels that will let you check in that late. Check in was swift and we got a broom with a magnificent view over the city and Cotopaxi. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom brand new and beautiful. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff is very friendly. Not sure about the neighborhood yet, but it looks fine. ”

”The rooms were huge! The staff was super nice and helpful and when we had problem with our room, we were offered a new one without asking. The sauna and steam room are pretty neat, but it would be great if there would be some kind of warm relaxing room within the sauna area. The breakfast was pretty good too! Even though I would love more cheese variation. All in all great hotel would definitely book it again! ”

”Very good value- we felt safe and we had an incredible view of mountains but it was looking over a busy street- the breakfast had fresh fruit and good eggs and rice. Nice to have a gym and a pool table. ”
