”The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and had modern facilities. The hotel was in a good location for visiting sites in the area. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent.”

”I was only there to sleep, the bedding didn’t seem fresh as it smelt and the towels also didn’t feel like they were washed.. besides that it was decent”

”The staff at all levels were helpful & friendly. They resolved my late arrival without an issue & provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. It is a pity that the bar closes at 22:00 but that is my only concern.”

”Could not get in my apartment”

”We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks.”

”The car GPS wasn't very good but I managed to use the directions on my phone. The rooms are across the road from the actual hotel. The food was really tasty especially the Full English breakfast which was inclusive. The Accessible room was very comfortable& the wet room was great, just what I needed. Definitely recommend this place.”

”Hidden paradise”

”This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out)....

”Very last minute booking. Arrived late. Clearly ' a work in progress ' and I wish them well for the future. However, room had no window coverings, no bin, and the shower didn't work. The bed was comfortable. Despite being advertised, there is definitely no breakfast option.”

”Excellent stay at the Briarcroft Hotel. We needed a place near the wedding venue we attended and this was right on the doorstep. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were very attentive when needed. The continental breakfast was very nice, orange juice, cereal, toast. Parking right outside the hotel. Everything we needed was right there including local shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this place again”
