Nature was all around us (rabbits everywhere) the only down side was the WiFi yes they are on copper cables but maybe they could do with a WiFi extender as we couldn’t get WiFi in our room but that does not detract from what a great place it was. ”

”We had a daytime event to attend in Cambridge, and needed to be away early in the morning. That made this property ideal for our needs. Free onsite or free on-street parking. Convenient shared area in kitchen/diner, with complimentary breakfast items meant that we could wake early and prep our own breakfast and get on the road promptly. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with a lovely ensuite. Just what we needed. Also on a good walking and/or bus route to central Cambridge. ”

”St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped.
