”When I turned on to the drive I was struck by the stunning tudor style building and grounds. I received a warm welcome from the friendly staff when I checked in, and clear directions on how to get to my room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The decor was a little dated, but you could argue inkeeping for the period of the property. The grounds are stunning.”

”This should have been lovely, spa bath in room, bathrobes etc but unfortunately it was disappointing. Tied decor, no bathroom lock, the noisiest flush on a toilet I’ve ever heard, bath plug didn’t fit properly so water drained away, window handle broken so it couldn’t be opened (it was over 30degrees that day). The reception area smelled like a carvery which was off putting. My biggest issue was that we booked a room specifically for the 3 single beds but it was made up as a double and a single...

”Clean, warm room. Big bathroom. TV signal unreliable but didn't bother us. Stayed in the rooms in annexe over-looking lovely gardens. Walls a bit thin so could hear upstairs a bit. Plenty of parking and walkable to Hooton station.”

”The bedrooms were quite shabby. The carpet was stained, the TV remote didn't work, nor did the bathroom fan and the dressing table chair was worn through. In my husband's room the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and the wall heater was very marked and dirty. Every other guest we spoke to had similar stories. To be fair, the public rooms were in a better condition.”

”Hotel was immaculate and the facilities excellent. The rooms themselves were large and spacious with everything you needed. The only slight issue was there was no plug socket near the mirror in one room and in another there wasn't one by the one bed...but we could get around these.”

”This house felt like a real home, was so well equipped, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed provided for us, and there was even a bottle of milk in the fridge waiting for us. The beds are really comfortable, as are the sofas, and the bathroom and kitchen are fab! We’re definitely coming back!”

”Instructions re which ramp to use (up or down) to enter car park under the apartment block were not clear. We went up ramp but key fob provided would not open the gates so had to reverse back down ramp to try the ramp going underground. Not a good start! On entering apartment found it to look a lot different to pictures on website. There was no coffee table or furniture unit. The floor was damaged in one corner by the table. The kitchen floor had crumbs over it, the skirting boards were dirty,...

”It was OK, not worth the room for the money. My friend got a better room with Travel lodge for the same price. Staff were friendly. Near to city centre and easy access to amenities. Thank you 😊”
