”Great in terms of numbers of rooms and arrangement of beds, great sized kitchen and lounge for a big group, nice outdoor space.
Pet friendly and back garden could be secured which was perfect for our dog. Really enjoyed family card games at the giant kitchen table.
Perfect location for lots of snowden paths, copper mines, nice little village for amazing ice cream and a decent pizza nearby.
Parking on the drive a little steep so anticipate a scrape to front bumpers reversing in. Parking in...

”It's a shame that there are some downsides to the cottage, otherwise it would be the ideal place to stay. It has a reasonable kitchen, a lounge area big enough for two, a nice bathroom and shower, convenient parking right outside for one car and a very effective towel rail, although to make it work, the entire heating system had to be on, and with no thermostat in the bedroom (during my stay), it soon became far too hot.
Unfortunately, there are quite a few shortcomings; there was no shaver...

”The views are excellent- Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Rooms very comfortable but warning of some sloping ceilings!
Amenities very good - good value for money.
Breakfast very good.
Good choice menu in the evening but disappointed that apple and blackberry pie not available for 4 nights of our stay!
Dog friendly - which is great for dog owners but personally - I wasnt so happy re a couple with 2 big dogs being allowed into the dining room in the evening.”

”Great location, easy self check in. The whole place was clean and in good condition. Simple self service breakfast with good coffee.
If there was one word of warning... if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. Someone in the next room was an impressive snorer and I didn't have any!”

”The room was terrible with a smashed bathroom basin, so I asked for another room.
The 2nd room had a smelly damp, mouldy bathroom.
There were no common areas. The bar/restaurant areas were kept closed/locked.
Reception staff were not at the hotel full time. Only sporadically during the day.”
