”Beautiful location, very comfortable, excellent service and good food. The room, facilities and grounds are beautiful. It is a little remote so a car or fairly pricey taxis are needed as busses tend to be a bit slow and complicated to get anywhere. We wished we had staid longer.”

”This was recommended to us by our tour guides in Japan and it is a fantastic hotel. The food in the restaurant caters to every background and everything we tried was delicious. The hotel is older but has heritage and a great vibe because of it, and is very clean. The service was excellent as well. I went for a run one morning in the surrounding area and it is very quiet and enjoyable for a morning run or walk. Highly recommended in a very quiet "town" of Hakone.”

”Great staff and very nice place overall, especially the onsen was great. But the food was bad. And there’s nowhere else to eat at this location after 16.00 afaik. If you go here, bring your own food. You’re better off with 7-eleven snacks than with the overpriced tiny TV meals that the “restaurant” offers. Also the room had no working ac. Temperature was fine but humidity was 100. Pricing was not that transparent either, our +1 additional guest cost us more than the room itself but hotels...

”Very nice Ryokan situated in a beautiful part of Hakone. The area in general is hilly and difficult to get around but that’s true of anywhere in Hakone. This is located very close to Gora station which is as convenient as it gets whether you want to sightsee in Owakudani or head back towards Odawara station. The dinner and breakfast are very generous serving hearty regional cuisine. The amenities are top notch and exactly what you want for your Ryokan getaway.”
