”Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.”

”Lovely room - nice and clean and bed very comfy. Good in the pub downstairs was absolutely fabulous - huge portions and very tasty. Highly recommend 👍”

”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wish we could have stayed longer. The food was very good, the room was large and clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.”

”Great parking. We didn’t realise when we booked that the pub would shut at 8 pm on the Sunday which was disappointing but they gave us a key to enter the building and to come and go as we wanted. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.”

”The room I was allocated was a single bed in a what I can only describe as a converted shed at the rear of the property. Damp and very cramped .. with the toilet 2 feet from your headboard .. awful smell of sewer as well .. £90!? Not worth that at all .. will not return.”

”A very clean and well equipped room - limited parking but perfectly adequate - disappointing lack of breakfast - rice crispies and cormflakes don't do it! Very good dinner and bar facilities”

”Great old English inn. Very friendly staff, good food and beers. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.”

”Booked due to location for work appointment..Parking is very limited. Room was clean, unfortunately bed was of a poor standard and very uncomfortable.”

”Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)”

”Great little pub and the owners are fantastic. I loved it”

”It was a lovely breakfast. We had English Breakfast, a fruit salad and a yoghurt. Plenty to choose from.”

”Amazing hosts. Super helpful.”

”A warm welcome to the recently refurbished coach house. The adjoined pub offered tasty food. With a freshly cooked breakfast we were ready to enjoy the stunning countryside surrounding this delightful village.”

”I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and spaciousness of my room (10). Staff were friendly and professional; the assistant at breakfast was first rate in supporting a substantial number of guests. And the Craster kippers were excellent. The one thing missing at breakfast was a bowl of fresh fruit. Dinner was well prepared and presented. All in all a very good experience at the Duke of W.”
