”The ocean was visible from both our rooms. We did not cook, just made tea; but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped and we saw other guests cooking. The bathroom was clean and had several showers, so we never had to wait The hostel is very conveniently located in downtown Hilo.”

”Attractive exterior with plenty of parking. AC easy to use. Noise outside from constant drumming or bass beats a bit annoying. ”

”We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had. The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen. ”

”Hotel was in good location in Hilo. From other reviews, they state this is the nicest hotel in Hilo. I would agree with that assessment, though the property could use a refresher. The area this hotel is located in is a bit rundown, homeless in the area. The hotel next door is shuttered which gave the area an abandoned feel. But I am not sure if there are any better areas in Hilo since it is a smaller town/city. Some food options in walking distance but I would recommend driving into town...

”Loved it here! Would have stayed longer but they were booked up. Great location. Short BEAUTIFUL walk to the beach/park. The woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful! A+”

”Clean room, comfortable beds. Our only complaint was that we wanted to extend our stay by another night and the front desk could not do it without waiting for the reservation staff to arrive which wasn't to happen until 10am. Essentially we had to pack up, check out and be checked back in later. Needless to say we did not stay. ”
