”Breakfast was excellent, dinner however is a different kettle of fish. To charge £4.00 for 5 onion rings was actually a rip off. Over the two dinners we had in the hotel service was inadequate. Bringing out two dishes separately because one meal wasn’t ready. I’m expecting decent service and pulling the staff off the reception desk to run the and wait table is unprofessional and rediculous.”

”Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. Overall an excellent stay room was comfy, cosy and clean - thank you 🙏”

”The hotel is an old Georgian building and therefore reflected in the rooms and amenities. Lots of character and charm. However, this means no aircon and old fashioned door locks etc. They provide a fan but our room was still too warm. We stayed in April so the summer months could be tricky. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was well stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and lovely fluffy towels. Lots of tea and coffee. Coffee was high quality bags and not the nasty...

”Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals.”
