”It was very interesting. It’s a big house with different rooms. We all share the kitchen, living room, laundry room, pool and deck area. Overall it was pretty good. One thing that did irritated go get it brought our dog and all you can hear is another dog barking 85% of the time.!”

”Our stay here was fine. The location is excellent, the house is nicely decorated, and the breakfast was solid - scrambled eggs, grits, sausage and a fruit dish every morning. I had been hoping for a helpful host who could guide us with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, but there was not a host on site. The bed was also quite soft and sagged in the middle.”

”A very nice historical building. Newer owner bringing it back. Beds comfortable, location to beach and down town great, however balance that with traffic activity /noise being on a corner lot. Having earlier serving to continental breakfast is an opportunity.”

”The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!”

”The suite we stayed in really needs updating. The shower did not match the luxurious description on the website. The carpet was in need of replacement. I literally found a large, dead roach right by the foot of the bed upon check-in -- how was this missed by housekeeping? The tvs and remotes were very difficult to navigate and internet slow. I removed the top cover from the bed, as it appeared as though not washed and used sheets and a cotton blanket. The windows really needed cleaning and...

”Fife and Drum is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. The location is amazing because you can walk to the museums and restaurants. Check in and parking are very easy. The place itself is charming and they always have drinks and snacks available in their quaint dining area, as well as delicious breakfast options. We stayed in the Restoration room, which has somewhat odd decor, but on theme for the area. The only negative for me was the bed. The mattress was too hard for my back and it made...
