Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness.

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

”I really do hate to nit pick but just be aware this is a 2d floor unit with no elevator. The sofa and chair apoear to be patio furniture and not comfortable at all and very difficult to get up being so low to the floor. The bath tub would not enpty so stoid in dirty water to shower. ”The price maybe appropriate for the area, but the room was small and with the pictures online you think you might have more space attached to the room than you actually do. When you read the information it is accurate. The curtain that fell during cleaning made the room like daylight the first night but was quickly fixed the next day. The refrigerator froze our food in the back even with making adjustments. Over all a good stay, but I learned to read carefully and not trust the pictures.”
