Worst hotel in Hoan Kiem Lake Area
Last year my number 1 hotel in Hanoi. This year the worst experience ever. Upon arrival/check-in the receptionist didn't know about my reservation, how long I will stay, what room type I have and did I pay or not. I reserved and paid for Junior Suite for 2 nights in advance .What I got was a rat hole without window, drinking water and bath towels and a promise that next day my suite is ok for me. The problem that my room was not ready for me was that last customer get sick and he had to stay in the room instead of staying in a hospital. Next day of course a new stuff working without any information about my problems. This time the explanation was that a customer was paying higher money for the room and that was the reason he could stay there. Not me as I paid for the room 1 month earlier. Upon check-out and waiting for my driver the reception staff was begging me to give them the best rates for the stay in this "hotel". I asked 2 times to talk with the manager but she was too busy to talk with customers. Upon check-out I heard she don't speak any English. If she is running business like this and cannot communicate with her customers I recommend her to shut down her business and start over from the MaMay Street business again. Or lead her workers to better customer service. Only good thing in this hotel this and my last time was the very kind bell boy and staff in breakfast room. Thanks for them. All others just liars. Don't even think this option.
