”Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.”

This was our second visit to the Pheasant Inn and both were very enjoyable with comfortable warm rooms, tasty food at breakfast and dinner and most enjoyable atmosphere in the bar mainly due to all the staff engaging with all customers and their service was exceptional ”

”A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. ”This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent.
