”Everything was perfect, from the friendly check in by Neil to our check out by a lovely lass whose name I have sadly forgotten The breakfast was superb. The room spacious and clean. We were in room 4 and the only downside, for me, having a sensitive sense of smell was being woken in the comfy bed by the strong smell of bleach, it was even worse in the breakfast area. It did not bother my husband at all. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room higher up, or further away from the bar area and...

”Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.”

Excellent breakfast next door at Cocketts. Good banter at bar with landlord first evening. Slight downsides - old furniture, poorly fitting drawers, no wardrobe (though I didn't need one)”

”River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. Beds are well made and comfortable and the bathrooms have everything you need from shampoo and conditioner to hand soap. Highly recommend a stay here, it’s a shame we...

”Only pet friendly in some areas Sticky surfaces on some bar tables. Apparently’nothing can be done about this’! Unique residential Inn that feels rather like a youth hostel. With a bit of effort could be superb ”
