Ell's Room

Come stay with us in Ell's Room! Clean, comfortable, unique studio apartment in private home. Kitchen has air fryer/convection oven/toaster oven and small hot plate. Washing machine and drying rack in bathroom. Stocked with everything you'll need for an amazing island vacation. Pet friendly.
The space
The house is an old fishing cottage with multiple additions put on over the years to house the owners' growing family. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside has recently been renovated into two units, a studio (Ell's Room) and a two bedroom (Papa's Place). Both have been updated with new heating/cooling units, Wifi, new bathrooms, etc. There is a shared patio out front with a dining table for 4 and two Adirondack chairs for guests in Ell's Room and a private space around the side of the house. There are a few outbuildings (an old garage and shed) on the property. It's definitely 'rustic' outside but very comfortable inside and in a great location for getting around the island. We priced it accordingly and it's a great value for the money. Please reach out if anything is not to your liking and we hope you enjoy your stay!
Other things to note
The owners manual for the heating/cooling split, air fryer/toaster oven and washing machine are in the kitchen cabinet closest to the bathroom wall. I keep the temperature set around 70 and set to 'dry' to keep moisture down. Feel free to adjust to your liking but keep it on 'dry' rather than 'cool' if possible. If it's not cool enough feel free to switch to the cool setting during your stay. The washing machine is 'technically' a washer/dryer combo but the dry cycle only really works for very small, light loads. If you use it I would strongly suggest drying your items outside.

There is no recycling on the island (I know, it's terrible) so all trash can go in the black garbage bin outside the door. There is a local dump just off the island where recycling can be dropped off.
