”The hotel reminded me of a Motel 6. The staff is excellent and very friendly, Had the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. Slept really well. Was a couple minutes from the airport and close to plenty of parks and places to eat. Would recommend getting a rental car so you can enjoy the whole island. ”This hotel is in a great location overlooking Hilo Bay and sits adjacent to the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens which is a must visit. Rooms are situated such that half are overlooking the bay and the other half overlook the golf course landside. The main restaurant has decent fare. The staff and service are excellent but the hotel could use some updating as rooms are showing their wear and tear. ”This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”There is nothing wrong with the property. It is a slightly bit dated, but it is a great place to stay. I have stayed here for both business and leisure. The location is good however, it is surrounded by other run down locations. I assume big storms have ravaged this location. Overall, I will continue to stay here while on the Hilo side of the Big Island. There is a smell of mold on the building entry passageway from storms impacting the carpet.
