It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”This review is long overdue, but the proprietors of this property deserve a shout out. This property was absolutely stunning. Nestled in the rainforest, the October evenings and mornings were cool and crisp, and quiet, but teeming with sounds of wildlife. We were provided with tasty pastries and fruit for our stay. In the daytime, we ventured to the black sand beaches, Kilauea, a farmer’s market, and nearby towns. We absolutely loved our room, which had a fireplace, very comfortable beds, small...

”The cottage was everything we hoped for and more. The cottage was beautifully decorated with many fresh bouquets of plants and flowers. The garden was enchanting. Gale the Host was thoughtful and kind. She greeted us with homemade applebanana bread, a bowl of fresh homegrown papaya, lemon applebanana, and lime. Gale gave us a tour of the entire property and gracious throughout our stay.”

”The Fairmont Orchid is absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact that it had its own private beach, where you can snorkel, paddle-board, go kayaking or go out on an outrigger. There is also a bar at the beach and food service available. The pool area separate from the beach, but they are both right next to each other.
