”We were situated in the older tower, but had a great view of bay. It was more difficult to find and navigate to hotel restaurant due to lack of any signage, and that our more obvious route was outside. Hilo is, after all, the rainiest city on the planet. Took us a wet try, and getting info to "maze" back to the older tower from restaurant staff. We suggest better signage, or info in room. The restaurant staff was okay...clearly overworked and understaffed. Front desk was adequate, but did...

”This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”Great place for kids. Very convenient and great location to shops and restaurants. Kid art and classes every day. Shuttle is easy to use too.”

”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

”The bed was way too old…I flipped the mattress…didn’t really help…the guys at the big slide was on his phone 90%of the time, my 6 year old had to literally interrupt him to see if it was ok for her to go down the slide. 👎👎 The Luau was amazing! My kid loved it, only way I could afford it as a single Parent was doing the time share tour, didn’t realize I was going into a pond full of sharks..worth my 2 1/2 hours I think. Saved me $300. Glad I was able to say no…when I was told “no...

”Stunningly well designed and maintained. Super relaxing. Extraordinary helpful and kind staff. Ridiculously good food. For us it was truly worth the marginal extra cost. When we went, it wasn't *that* much more expensive than the other properties but is by far the nicest. Nice snorkeling right off their beach which is one of the only sand beaches around. A large family pool and a very nice adult pool. Excellent rooms. Just beautiful.”

”Our 1st evening, we had some problems with getting food. The poolside restaurant had to close early and the bar restaurant ran out of pizza. I’m sure it was an unusual problem, but we didn’t have dinner that night coming in from a long travel day from Texas. All other meals were great, especially breakfast buffet which was outstanding.”
