”Had an event across the street at Amy Greenwell, and my grandparents would always book here when we’d be on this side of the island. It’s older, but being able to walk right up to the restaurant is worth it, and in the morning it’s so peaceful to just sit out on the porch”

”This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

”Buyer beware - when you book an ocean view room they will not have it available (very few even available as they are on the upper floor(s) and only on a single side of the hotel - they offered to pay for our parking charges but we wouldn’t have booked this hotel if they were honest in the listing. When I sent them a message I did not get a response... also there was a musty odor in the room which made it hard to sleep - Very unhappy with the experience.”

”Staying here is awesome for relaxation. You really don’t have to leave the property since everything you need is right here. Just a quick 2-minute drive away, you’ll find two shopping centers. Plus, there’s a beach just 2 minutes away if you’re not into the lagoon or the pools on-site. You can go snorkeling in the lagoon and spot turtles along with all sorts of fish. And don’t forget, there are dolphins on the property that you can see both day and night. We will definitely return here in the...

”Great place to stay at Waikoloa. Comes with access to the pool and lagoon facilities from the main Hilton which is amazing for a slightly cheaper fare.”

”We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had. The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen. ”

”Rooms are not great”

”The rooms and property is kinda dated. Roaches came out on the counter when we were eating (gross) & there seemed to be a problem with black ants on the balcony. Lastly, parking is the worse. Personally I would not park my own personal car in that lot across the street so Im glad I had a rental car.”

”Westin was absolutely beautiful, from the rooms, pools, beache, restaurants and bars. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful to our needs. Amy and Seisha in the concierge desk helped booking our dinners, luau and waterfalls outing. Linda and Bruce were great friendly bartenders. Waitress Elizabeth @the Meridia was such a delight to meet. We'll definitely be back.”
