Residenssit – Havaijin saari

”We had a room right behind the elevator and not sure if that was the tumbling noise we heard beginning very early in the morning and never stopping but it ruined our sleep. They offered us to switch rooms but we had only another night and didn’t want to move all of that baggage. They should have comped us something but didn’t offer and we were too busy to worry about it. The pool is very cold despite somewhere advertised as heated. There were ants in the bathroom and the tub is so slippery...

”Having a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove was awesome! The washer/dryer was another great resource to have in the room. There’s a free shuttle that comes every 30 minutes to take you to a destination in that area was great too. The pools are awesome. There was a section for 18+, 16+, and all ages. So if you don’t want to be in a “splash zone” you have that option. The food from the pool bar was yummy and was at a decent price. We are from Hilo and will definitely be planning another...

”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

”This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”I’ve stayed here twice and this hotel is really special! The downtown shopping and restaurant area, is literally right there…you can walk to everything from this hotel. The property itself, is lovely — with lots shops, an ABC store, coffee shop, restaurant, as well as pool, bar and small beach. For me, the best thing is all the beautiful artwork and history surrounding King Kamehameha, his family and heirs. Hawaii has a rich history, and it’s on display at this hotel! The rooms are...
