So I booked this hotel specifically because they say dogs are allowed. I checked in and the room was disgusting. It was as if all they did was make the bed and put new towels in but everything else was gross. The girl that checked me in even said that they were short housekeepers and it definitely showed.
Secondly, as I am walking my dogs outside around the property, I had one of the owners tell me that I wasn't allowed to walk my dogs around. She said that they didn't want my dogs peeing on their bushes and that I should take them over to a grassy area on the far side of the property. That would have been fine but the grassy area was filled with stickers that would get in my dogs paws every time I took them over to that area and he got to the point where he wouldn't go to the bathroom over there because it was so painful. If you are going to have rules that apply to dog owners, put it in your policies. Also, I don't think that your crappy 2 star hotel should be worried about dogs peeing on bushes and more concerned that someone was going to get sick from staying in your dirty rooms!
