”The location was convenient. The parking lot has huge pot holes. Our king suite was filthy. The sheets were covered in black debris, the bathroom found multiple hairs. The vent above the toilet dripped rusty water onto the toilet seat and floor that looked like urine. The shower had no water pressure and took a long time to warm up. The pillows were terrible. Too expensive for what it was. Disappointing.”

The night I checked in, at 10pm, for my pre-paid 4 night stay I somehow had misplaced my credit card during the trip from Dallas to be used for "incidentals" and didn't have it with me. ”This room was spectacularly overpriced. I recognize that there was a lot going on in Lawrence this weekend. But, jacking up the rate to over $500 for a $60 motel room was not ok. There was spackle in the bathtub. The lamp socket was hanging off the lamp. The desk chair’s fake leather was peeling and the couch was threadbare. The mattress was as thin as an 80s fouton. Staff were lovely and kind. Room seemed clean despite the disrepair. If it had been $60, it would have been fine.”
