I paid for VIP once getting to the hotel. The check in process was easy and the person who helped us was great. We were instructed to go to the VIP Lounge where the receptionist was supposed to give us our VIP bracelets and other goodies. She was too busy on the phone and did not provide us with additional information. One of the days, water was dripping from the AC and light fixture. I called maintenance and they said the AC was defrosting and they will come back in an hour and I never heard from them again. Another night, I went to one of the speciality restaurants (Mexican) and after waiting 30 mins after being seated, our order was not taken and tacos were given to us. It seemed like it was left over meat put into tacos. Then the buffet was closed and we were not able to have dinner. The waiters/servers ignored us sometimes and once when I asked for water someone sucked their teeth. I understand this hotel is on the affordable end in puerto plata but the service has to be better. I have never experience anything like this. It was disappointing.

The hotel is a decent size. Needs a little renovation. The beach is not the best. Too much seaweed. Sometimes the music is way too loud. Friendly staff.

My wife and I stayed at the resort for four nights in July to celebrate her birthday and our anniversary. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and felt it was an excellent value. We were able to access the hotel's app about a week before our arrival. I initially had some trouble logging in, but customer service was very responsive and quickly resolved the issue. I highly recommend downloading the app and making restaurant reservations as soon as they become available, as the à la carte restaurants fill up quickly. The only restaurant we were unable to try was the Rodizio, as we didn't realize it was only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Every other à la carte restaurant we visited was excellent, with great food and outstanding service. The staff throughout the resort were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The beach area was beautiful, although we were unable to swim due to a large number of jellyfish in the water during our stay. We spent most of our days at the party pool, which had a fun atmosphere and offered plenty of entertainment throughout the day. While the resort had a few minor cosmetic imperfections, they did not change our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, felt it offered excellent value for the price, and would definitely recommend it to others..

We liked the resort. Our room was clean, everything worked and we were happy about it. The food was great! The staff were awesome!! The beach was good.

The hotel was like a paradise. Everything worked like a dream. The all inclusive was ALL inclusive. Food was great and you could get the drinks from the different parts of the hotel. Views were the best. It was nice to wake up when the waves were hammering the beach. Very relaxing like the holiday should be.
