”The place was perfect for a two day trip. It was clean and had a great view of the little lake and fall colors. We were able to cook breakfast on the electric griddle provided, however, we were not able to grill the steaks we had planned because of no way to clean the grill. No problem, though, we just had an authentic German meal out instead.”

”Fabulous downtown Washington location! Close to numerous delightful gathering places for meals and local area wines and beers! Beautiful well appointed apartment in wonderful old brick building with old brick accent walls and peaceful, pale blue, gray and white modern furnishings. ”The property was nice and really clean, you can tell there was much attention put into every detail. The hosts were very communicative from the start and they were responsive to our questions. The area is really quiet, and outside from the Pinckney Bend Distillery there are not many activities you can do in the area. It does serve well as a place where you can easily go to Hermann or Washington (about 20 mins driving distance).”

”Wine Alley West was a convenient and clean place. It's close to the Amtrak station, wineries, shopping, and eating. The owners provide many amenities with needed kitchen accessories including silverware, bowls and dishes. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided for showers. Layout of kitchen and living space was pleasant. Plenty of outlets for charging cords.”

”The place is pretty but the electricity situation was ridiculous. 2 days of cold showers because circuit breaker kept tripping. We had to turn off lights and air so the circuit would stay on. The maintenance guy was very kind and polite. He did all he could do at the moment to remedy the problem to no avail. Smelled very moldy. Food was good downstairs, great staff at the restaurant. The people and location are nice. The electricity problems caused a lot of inconvenience, cold showers sucked.”

”Gorgeous working farm; friendly, responsive on-site owners; best guard dog of all time (Dakota!); top-notch fishing in the pond (bass & HUGE bluegill!); convenient to Hermann (10-15 mins) and all the shops, wineries and distilleries! The room is small/quaint but has what you need: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and shared deck overlooking the scenic pond/lake. It was clean and comfortable. This is a place we will visit again, no doubt!”

”As listed. Perfect place for couples to enjoy time away. Clean and well stocked. Each room was exactly the same allowing all couples to feel equally accommodated. The second smaller house on the property (separate rental that wasn't in our rental/party) is very close but this wasn't an issue for us. We were able to enjoy ourselves and I believe the other rental did too. Ample seating inside and out for all 8 in our party. We paid to use trolley Saturday, but drove ourselves Friday and Saturday....

”What a lovely home! The pictures don't do the place justice, and that's because Paul & Heidi are always diligently looking to improve. Their heart and soul go into this place and it shows! We had a group of five girls total, staying at the Songbird Haus, and it was perfect, we had enough room to hang out in the kitchen, dine at the main table and lounge on the sofas for chit chat. The home is beautiful and we loved how easy it was to walk everywhere in town. The entire stay was just as charming...
