  • Toteutettava tauko kaupungin elämästä tässä 4 makuuhuoneen, 3-kylpyhuoneen loma-asunnossa Hermosassa. Sijaitsee vain muutaman minuutin päässä Custer State Parkin huippuluokan vaelluksesta, kalastuksesta ja metsästyksestä, tämä 2000 neliön jalkainen koti 10: lle on todella ulkona oleva paratiisi. Olitpa viettämässä päiviäsi vierailemalla ainutlaatuisissa nähtävyyksissä, kuten Rushmoren vuoristossa, mönkijöillä Forest Service Roadsilla, tai yksinkertaisesti ihailemalla kalustetun kannen näkymiä, olet varma, että sinulla on joitakin ulkoilmaretkiä, joita et koskaan unohda.

    -- SIJAINTI --

The place has everything we expected and the owner checked several times to make sure everything was okay. We enjoyed eating on the screened in deck and the BBQ worked well.

Excellent location

We couldn’t be more happy with our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and accomodated 10 of us easily. The screened in porch and deck including a grill were perfect. We very much enjoyed the landscaping of beautiful rock. Very quiet area that offered gorgeous scenery. The location was great and an easy drive to every place we went including Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, Reptile Gardens, Rushmore Adventure Park, and more. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Buffalo Roundup Bucket List Trip

The house was great having a unique South Dakota decor. Loved looking out the large window showing the black hills. We wanted something comfortable for our family to share. It was very well stocked. You are close to Custer State Park entrance which was our reason for booking this property to attend the buffalo roundup. It was about a 40-45 minute drive to other attractions like the town of Custer for restaurants and Mt Rushmore. About an 1hr 40 minutes to the Badlands and only about 25 minutes from Rapid City Airport. We loved our experience and would this recommend this house.

Gorgeous view!

We had three generations staying here and we all loved it. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the views were amazing. The only issue we had was temperature control. It was hot (outside) when we were there and the thermostat could never reach the number we set it to, however, the main level never felt that warm so it didn’t seem to matter. The basement on the other hand, was freezing (I loved that though). It was in a really nice location, close to Custer, Mt. Rushmore, and Keystone. We loved sitting on the deck each night and watching the amazing sunsets. I rarely stay at the same VRBO twice because I like trying different places but I could easily see myself booking this house again!

A very nice 4 bedroom, 3 bath home with a wonderful view of the Black Hills that offers beautiful sunsets! Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Nice deck and screenporch as well. Not a fan of the taxidermy, but liked the other art pieces and home decor. Would stay again!

Spacious, clean house

The 5 of us loved staying at this house! It was a great location as a base for our sightseeing. The home was very spacious & very clean! Having 3 bathrooms was one reason we chose this home over others--that option really was nice. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, small appliances, & even foil, plastic wrap & plastic storage containers. The rock path was pretty up to the front door but may cause issues for persons with mobility limitations. And there is a larger step into the house.

We’ll be back!

This property was the perfect getaway for our families! It was so quiet and fun for our kids to explore outside. The deck was so beautiful, partially screened in and the other part open. We spent a lot of time out there enjoying the gorgeous scenery. The place was so clean and we had all we needed! The cabin was a great distance from area attractions. We can’t wait to plan our next trip!!

Great private getaway

We stayed at the house in August and really enjoyed the quiet, dead end road, great views, wildlife, nicely furnished house and artistic touches by the owners. Everything worked! The two levels were good to give family groups a little more separation. It was a bit hot for using the deck for dining as it gets evening sun, but I'm sure it's lovely in lower temps. You do need to bring ALL foodstuffs. There were lots of dishes and pots and pans for all the cooking that we did. The grandkids loved the taxidermy. All in all a great place for the 9 of us to enjoy the Black Hills.

Getaway in the Black Hills

This house was perfect for our family getaway! It was well stocked with all that we needed (aside from a few condiments d/t COVID regulations, but Brian made sure we knew what couldn’t be provided at the house)! The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. Brian was fantastic to work with & very easy to get into contact with if needed. He even made sure we had the specific coffee we like to drink as well as the games our kids like to play (Apples to Apples, Skip-bo, Chess, etc). We grilled & enjoyed the beautiful view off the deck while the kids explored the property and had fun playing bags and hiking outdoors. We went the first week of August & the weather was perfect while we were there (maybe we were lucky??) as it was 75-80 degrees in the daytime and 50-60 degrees in the evenings/early mornings (perfect for coffee drinking as the sun was coming up)! The washing machine & dryer worked well & laundry detergent/dryer sheets were provided. The 3 closed bedrooms plus the open 4th bedroom area in the basement were fitting for our combined family vacation of 10 people (ages 2-68). We had 2 families (1 family of 4, 1 family of 5) plus grandma come along with us. One couple & the 2 yr old took the large master bedroom, the other couple took the 2nd bedroom upstairs, the 17 yr old had her own bedroom downstairs, & Grandma plus the other 3 kids ranging from 8-13yrs slept in the 2 queen beds in the room at the bottom of the stairs. (FYI... There is not a direct door to close off the room with 2 queen beds, but there is one at the top of the staircase). There was also an extra mattress available if needed. There were TVs with internet access in all bedrooms & the living room area as well in which we were able to log into our Netflix account during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better location to stay as we were off the beaten path enough to enjoy the wilderness, yet close enough to all that we wanted to see and do in the area (including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Legion Lake, Bear Country, etc.)! Thank you, Brian, for allowing us to rent the house and have such a fun, memorable, family getaway.

We stayed at this property for 4 nights and the pictures simply do not do it justice. There were 8 of us with 4 kids and there was plenty of room. The home is very well stocked with everything you might need and the decor is perfect. The land surrounding the home is fantastic and offers great views and nice areas to hike. The deck and screened in porch were well used and the sitting area in the front surrounded by trees was very relaxing. We highly recommend this home as there is plenty of room and even with a large family, you can find a place for some peace and quiet. The location of this home was absoluetely perfect. The last thing we wanted after a long 8 hour drive to get here was it taking a long time to get to the local attractions. Everything we wanted was about 30 minutes away. We ate breakfast at home, lunch out and about, and had plenty of time to get home and grill for dinner everyday. Be sure to take the Needless drive and visit the local lakes as that was very enjoyable. We also did Bear park and we all really enjoyed that as well. You will not go wrong with this home!

Great for families

Great rental for families. Lots of land and outdoors for kids to explore. Movies and games too. WiFi was good as well. Kitchen amenities were good

House with a view!

It’s hard to beat the view out the main room window. It’s a good place to stay overall for access to Keystone area and Custer. It’s a bit off the main Hwy, but not terrible. House does need a little attention though. Stove was a bit unreliable. The front door lock needs replacing so it closes tightly. And unless you like always getting up early, needs some darkening curtains in most of the sleeping spaces.

A great spot

We enjoyed our stay and especially the views! The house was clean. A few things to note if you aren’t familiar w SD (and we weren’t). Hermosa has no real amenities and is a very small town. The house was stocked with almost nothing in the kitchen so be prepared to buy everything if you plan to cook. There was salt, coffee and coffee filters and that was it. The grill was excellent, as was the movie collection and washer and dryer. The laundry area did have detergent and dryer sheets. The beds were comfortable, but had plastic mattress covers on every bed. This is the only home I have rented where this was the case. All in all for the price, it is a great value. The owner was nice and very responsive. Hence the 5 stars!

Amazing house!! Spectacular View!!

Amazing house with a "SPECTACULAR" view! As my Mother said, "Beyond all expectations!" She wanted to take the family to the Mt Rushmore area to celebrate her 90th Birthday. We decided to rent a house for the 9 of us. We chose this property because of the central location to everything we wanted to see: Mt Rushmore, Custer National Park, the Crazy Horse Memorial, and the 1880 Train between Hill City and Keystone. Brian was there to greet us, show us around the house, and answer any questions we had about the area. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Brian even made sure we had a blender for our smoothies! At the end of our adventure for the day, we would say, "Ready to go home!" We barbecued on the grill and loved eating on the screened-in porch. In fact, we spent a lot of time on the porch talking and enjoying the view! Added bonus; watching the deer and wild turkeys every morning and evening in the backyard. We took walks all around the property. The house was perfect! We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful home and highly recommend it!

Fantastic Home !!!

My wife and I with our 3 girls (ages 12, 10 & 7) spent a wonderful 4 nites at this perfect home. The house was beautiful...we particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the screened-in porch and watching the resident deer in the backyard! Brian met us at the house when we arrived and he was very helpful explaining everything about the house and about the area. The home is in a great location, close to Mt Rushmore, Black Hills, Custer State Park and Badlands. Highly recommend !!!
