”What a gem this hotel was. It was a bit of a lucky find but glad we found it. Rooms were modern but had a rustic vibe. Room was also very spacious with a lot of room to move about. Very nice porch as well with a lovely babbling brook right outside the door. The only drawback was the 2 skylights that let in dawns light at 6am every morning, hence the 3 stars on comfort. We got used to it but it would be nice to have something set up to shade the light. We also liked easy access to extra towels...
”My stay was pleasant. This is my second time coming to this establishment for a trip to the mountains. The staff is very helpful and the stay was quiet and comfortable. The room was clean and the staff EVS cleaned very well. In a perfect world I’d love if the facility had rooms that had more high tech amenities like all digital window shades or a more sophisticated air conditioning unit. What was there was normal and acceptable. I had a pleasant stay.”
”The Outpost Inn was such a wonderful stay in Highlands!
Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. Bed/bedding was great, good shower pressure and products.
Each afternoon we would hang out in the common spaces and firepits and enjoy a glass of wine, 'smores and meeting other travelers.
The hotel is very close to town, you can walk. They also have bikes to take around.
