”We were given a handi cap room which was not the best as everything was low sink, bed ect. We were not informed prior to our stay I would have booked elsewhere. To find our room was like a rabbit warren if a disabled person had to walk to the end of long and narrow corridors it would terrible. Not impressed at all”

Sadly I felt many things were tired the towels (only one shower towel provided we had to use hand towels), the two frying pans were crumbling away and I feel not fit for purpose. A general feeling of a spring clean is due, especially in draws, also the rugs in the living rooms are hazardous as the non slip backing is worn out. The character of the chapel is fabulous. ”

”We had such a lovely weekend at the Old Bell Hotel. The staff is so warm and friendly which definitely made our stay. The property itself is very uniquely decorated and had so much character and charm. The staff accommodated our every need and our room (we booked a junior master) was spacious, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The breakfast was also delicious! ”

”Have stayed here several times over a number of years - staff are lovely, food tasty and rooms comfy… stayed in the main house for the first time and although the room was lovely, it was directly above the bar so there was some noise - maybe worth considering if wanting an early night! Otherwise a perfect stay x”

After letting the team know about our special dietary requirements (gluten-free), the manager was outstanding in ensuring we were fully accommodated — to the point that the service surpassed what I’ve experienced in some so-called 5-star hotels. A special mention to Evie, who was an absolute delight. Our room was clean and beautifully presented — a testament to excellent housekeeping.”
