Autumn Ridge has a lot of potential, but there are numerous things that bothered us as a vacation retreat. We would like to state the hosts are exceptional. The location is exactly as described.Upon our arrival, we immediately noticed the following: Sour smell; broken lamp; electrical outlets with loose, removed, or hanging cover plates; missing doorknobs; dreadfully stained carpet. We took photos and contacted the hosts. They immediately replied they had not visited their property in months and if there were additional issues to let them know. Additional issues: Light bulbs were burned out or not present -no replacement bulbs were available; no hand towels or face cloths in the bathrooms [we purchased some]; no kitchen hand towels or oven mitts [we purchased some]; cobwebs inside lamp shades; patio screen door is off the runner and easily comes off the runner again once replaced; back porch door knob does not function; outdoor grill would not heat above 300 degrees; food and spices in the kitchen cabinets are OLD / Expired and needs to be thrown out [a bottle of syrup was dated 2009!]; the inside of these cabinets need to be cleaned; kitchen cabinet drawers need upgrading...they are literally falling apart; no sharp knives available [we took our own bc of a previous visitor's comment]. Even with the above issues, we would have given this property a higher rating if not for the carpet. It needs to go!!! When resolved, we would definitely visit again.
