”The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.”

”This property is AMAZING!!! It is private but yet within a short drive to restaurants, shops, and beautiful outdoor waterfalls/rivers. It is very well furnished, well decorated, and the landscaping is beautiful. Such a peaceful and wonderful get away!!!! The owner was so gracious and helpful with booking/check in and any questions. ”Wonderfully light, clean, and comfortable place to stay while we worked in the area. Peaceful view over the golf course. Yes the road is single-lane, but we never encountered another vehicle the entire week of coming and going. Carly is a great host, and we hope there is availability when we work up there next year!”

”Ten of us enjoyed our stay at the property. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was rainy so we spent time playing board games, playing foos ball, going to the gym, and watching movies. When the sun came out we went to see the waterfall that was 5 mins from the house. Gorgeous and you didn’t have to hike to get to it. We also played pickle ball by the gym. So fun. We were in town for a wedding. It’s a beautiful area. ”

”This place is one of the coolest places we have ever stayed and everything was so relaxing. The uniqueness of the Barn was unbelievable. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable and unforgettable it was!! It is set up to accommodate a family but if you want another honeymoon style getaway, then this is the place. We stayed a week and were very content to stay at the Barn. We did venture out some but we enjoyed just hanging out and enjoying all the Barn had to offer....

The beds are comfortable and sitting out on the large screened in deck with the fireplace going in the evening gives you a certain type of mountain peace that we came here to find. It is a quiet neighborhood and the roads are walkable although I do have a mobility scooter that is capable of off road so I was able to get around the neighborhood daily.
