Away from it ALL! Quiet secluded cabin close to Highlands .Views, hikes, waterfalls, fine dining & shopping. Relax but find so much to do all just outside your door.

Cozy cabin with full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, with large deck.

3 full beds (2 in second and one in master).

Roku streaming sound bar in LR & Roku equipped TV in Master BR - YouTube TV included.
Starlink high speed internet - 70+ MBPS Down - Browse the internet, streaming shows, & work remotely via Zoom.

No Pets
The space
Open kitchen/living/dining with two bedrooms and two baths all on one floor.

What we supply:
As well as a clean and tidy home with all furnishings, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and linens, we also supply a starter amount of soaps (dish, washing machine, shampoo, body soap, hand soap, etc.), two rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and a starter amount of wood logs if there is a wood burning fireplace or firepit as well as fire starter sticks. After the initial evening at the home, the guest will need to go shopping for additional supplies to get them through their visit.

Mountain Getaway

We absolutely loved out stay at this property. Everything that we needed was there for us and the house was clean and inviting. We had brought what we needed for our visit with us so we didn't leave once we got there. We enjoyed playing board games and reading by the fire. So relaxing! My only negative comment would be that I couldn't sit outside and read because there were too many bees but I still had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back! Love the area! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Would have been a great vacation!

My best friend and I decided to rent this cabin to unplug from the world and spend time together before she moved to California. We had planned for this vacation for months. It was to be a girls week of playing board games, catching up, and hanging out. Since both of us are somewhat directionally impaired and were talking, we had a couple of missteps getting to the cabin. However, if you follow the directions provided AND pay attention, you'll be fine. Being from the mountains of NC, the curvy, narrow roads were familiar but could be somewhat daunting for individuals who have never driven on winding mountain roads. The cabin was cozy and access into the building was so easy. My friend has mobility issues and had no problems getting up the steps or into the cabin, even though it was raining profusely. After settling in, we were able to spend about an hour playing cards before the remnants of hurricane Ida caused a power outage. The lack of power also affected our ability to have running water. Fortunately, we had enough daylight to be able to play cards for a couple of hours. We had enough water for a day. We went to bed early hoping the power would be on the next day but woke to darkness. During the night, we could hear trees falling and heavy rain. We made the difficult decision to leave less than 18 hours into our vacation. We reasoned that we could handle the lack of power, even though we lost most of our food, but needed water for our most basic needs. We contacted our host who was very understanding. Although I won't be able to return with my friend, I hope to return and enjoy a vacation here.

Great getaway!

Too remote with overgrown roads, far from medical facilities. Couldn’t sit out because of insects. Entry steps need repair. We left two days early for more comfortable surroundings.

Secluded Cabin

Cabin is full of family memories and trinkets. Kitchen is overwhelmingly stocked. It was peaceful and quiet. Little to no cell reception. No Wi-Fi was the biggest issue because I had planned to work remotely. Had to go to public libraries every afternoon for work. Definitely a place to relax and unplug.

Great mountain cabin

I really enjoyed this cabin. You can tell that the family who owns it has loved it throughout the years. Hands down the best supplied kitchen that I’ve ever seen on a rental. As it rained one of the days that we were there, this came in very handy. Convenient location for great hikes, including right from the house, easy access to the waterfalls up the road. It was cozy and quiet and clean. Very comfortable.

Great little cabin

This cabin was very clean, comfy, well stocked and quaint. We were just able to stay for a few days but really enjoyed it and would like to come back again. The mountains were beautiful and peaceful. Sally was very nice and helpful. The kids were sad to go.

Momma’s Bday

We loved this place from the moment we parked! I can’t pinpoint one single thing we did not like... The place is distributed out perfectly!!! From the kitchen and how well equipped it is with everything you need, to the bedrooms, living room with games for the family to play. All you need to take is yourself and some food if you plan on staying in. They have from towels to toilet paper to q-tips, all you need. We ventured out and the places we went to were all within an hour or less to drive to. Please feel free to send people to my email if they want elaborated details because I could go on and on about our experience!!! It was my husband, dad, mom, sister, and myself. We made the sleeping arrangement work out perfectly!!! We will most definitely be heading back up because we want to see fall there!!!

Very Relaxing

The property is definitely off the beaten path. We hung out on the porch a lot enjoying the beautiful mountain backdrop. We cooked a lot, the kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots, pans utensils you'll need and then some. We drove into Highlands for a day of shopping and then into Franklin for a day. This place is just perfect for relaxing and recharging. I'll definitely book again!

Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Suggest you pick up some food for a couple of days because you will not want leave right away. It is quite an adventure to find but once you get there it's well worth the challenge.

Peace on Earth

Peaceful Retreat Away from Busyness

We stayed in this sweet and quaint cabin for a much needed rest. It’s in a quiet area away from busyness but still close enough to restaurants in highlands. Great place for someone wanting to be away from crowds.

A wonderful gateway

The place was secluded, quiet, beautiful. The house was nice and clean, utensils in kitchen were overwhelmingly in abundance. It was an incredible pleasure watching colibri flying around, amazingly attractive birds. We just kept making new nectar and adding it to the feeder... The manager, Sally, has been attentive and responsive, and when we had a small problem with water flow, it was fixed right away. And, as a matter of fact, we did not miss internet - it was actually a blessing to enjoy the nature not knowing what was happening in the crazy world. We had really fantastic time.

Amazing!!!

This cabin was great! Very cozy, homelike feel. Gorgeous mountain view from an awesome porch with rocking chairs and swings. You really need to bring nothing more than your personal belongings, clothes, and food. This cabin has everything you need!

Nice family getaway.

Two Notes: 1) Be sure to follow property manager's directions and do not trust your GPS. 2) Don't rent this house for a creek - but still worth it. This house is cozy (like staying at your grandparents cabin) with well-stocked dishes, paper products etc. It was very clean. Very close to the river for tubing, picnics, swimming and fishing. Conveniently between Highlands and Franklin. The property managers were very nice too! Water pressure was poor but with a little planning/management it was useable and always hot. There are very few channels on the sattelite subscription and do not plan on having internet access on your cell phone. Over all- I definitely recommend!
