Tule retkeilyyn, vesiputouksiin, ostospaikkoihin ja loistavaan ruokailuun Highlandsissä! Tai ehkä haluat vain jäähtyä, kun pakotat rotan rotuun ja rentoutua 24-tuumaisella kannella, josta on näkymät Länsi-Pohjois-Carolina, Itä-Tennessee ja Koillis-Georgia, kun aurinko laskee kauniisti niiden takana. Tämä talo on hiljattain täysin uusittu uudella lattialla, uusilla ylellisillä kylpyhuoneilla ja uudella uudella keittiöllä. Kaikissa huoneissa on ylelliset vuodevaatteet ja upouusi huippuluokan patjat. Loistava kahdelle perheelle, joissa on sekä ylä- että alakerran mestarit sekä king-vuoteet, ja kerrossänky, jossa on kaksi kaksoset yli kahden kuningattaren, vaatehuone ja säilytystila. It was hard to find and no cell service. My daughter came up alone and ended up on the street behind the property. There is a very steep driveway shared by another house. We were only aloud 2 bags of trash and we had 8 people for 5 days over a holiday, so the local trash dump wasn’t open so we were charged extra. I misread the pet policy and brought both of our mature labs for which we were also charged extra. Be aware there is a ring doorbell camera and the host will watch your every move. Beautiful sunsets from the back porch.

Great experience

A great property with lots of room. Everything fit our needs for this vacation. Close to town, great living room upstairs for reading by the fireplace during the day. Cozy living room downstairs for relaxing in the evenings. Contrary to other reviews, we had zero problems with texting through iMessage and web browsing. Satellite tv and apps worked very well for us also. The kitchen was perfect. Huge sink, plenty of cook wear and the double dishwashers were a nice touch for group dining. Beautiful view off of the back deck. Very nice firepit area. Beds were comfortable. Showers had enough hot water for four people to get ready back to back. You can't expect much more. Great spot.

Beautiful property

I have been to Highlands twice in the last two years. This property is one of the cleanest, nicest rentals I have ever had. It looks like it has just been renovated. Everything you need is right there. The owner evens supplies certain condiments such as as spices, soy sauce, coffee, filters, etc.. There is a pretty view from the second floor balcony. The furniture is very comfortable. The bathrooms are spotless. So the house is super. I seem to recall however that the listing mentioned wood burning fire places. They are gas however, but nonetheless, remote controlled and beautiful to look at. The only issues with this property are those that have been mentioned in previous reviews. As you leave Highlands and are about a mile out of town heading toward the house, there is NO internet. Your phone cannot make a call and you cannot access the web. This is not the fault of the owner, its just the facts. When you arrive at the property there is Dish, and you can log onto their internet through that medium but it is still slow to no. We could not make any calls from the property although the owner has a landline for use if necessary. However, even with the log in none of us could use our IPhones for surfing the web. I hate that that is even a concern in these days and times but this is the world in which we live. Also, the firepit could be greatly improved if the owner would install a handrail to access it. Lastly, the driveway is not for the faint of heart but you will get used to it soon enough. All in all, this is a very nice place and we had a wonderful time!

Terrific house

House is tucked away and is pretty secluded which we thought was great. There are two other homes nearby but enjoyed the fact it was a bit more isolated. Owners have done a terrific job updating the house and it was very neat, clean and warm. We were lucky and had terrific weather so it was terrific to spend the day on hikes and coming back to a well appointed kitchen, make dinner and relaxing on the deck with beautiful views. We have rented a myriad of homes for short weekend getaways and this is one of our favorite houses we have stayed, would wholeheartedly recommend it. Plenty of space for larger groups (was just my wife and I for the weekend), one of the bedrooms has a bunk bed for little ones. Short 20 minute drive to Cashiers and just a few minutes to Highlands. Great house

Trying something new, first trip to Highlands.

The house was lovely. Beautifully updated and decorated. The kitchen was nicely equipped, we had what we needed to cook our planned meals. The beds were very comfortable. Linens and towels were all soft and inviting. Everyone was pleased. We spent time by the fire pit and on both decks, it was all quite relaxing. That being said the driveway was anything but…but we all managed. We went to Dry Creek Falls (beautiful) and downtown for lunch and shopping. Look forward to visiting again with a bit more time to look around. There are a two things that I feel need mentioning that did not affect my review. We were a mixed age group from 25 to 80 and there is no handrail leading to the lower level. We ended up not using what looked like a lovely seating area as the outdoor furniture was not uncovered and the deck had not been cleared. We did use the outdoor table. We know it would have been our responsibility to cover it every night but we felt it would have been more welcoming had it been uncovered when we got there.

Mountain View delight

My husband and I travelled to Highlands, NC in search of a potential second home. This was the perfect place to have as “base camp” - near enough to all amenities yet far enough for peace and solitude. It was the perfect place to rest and relax (as much as you wanted). Magnificent!

What a special place! The home is immaculately maintained with views as breathtaking as they appear in the pictures. My only suggestion is to show up the first time in daylight hours as the driveway is a bit tricky. ;-).

Great home, driveway is steep and somewhat hard to find. GPS is inaccurate. Downstairs AC needed to be set below the 72 degree suggestion, but worked prefect on 69. Also, only 2 bags of trash is a little tough with a 10 person home.

Great stay in the mountains

Great stay in the mountains! We enjoyed the stay in this beautifully redone Mountainhouse. The view was beautiful, in the furnishings, kitchen and bathrooms were exceptional. The house has great living spaces which allow everyone to spread out and have their own space if they want to. Close to some great waterfall hikes! Would stay again.

Beautiful view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house itself looks as it has been recently updated and the kitchen was well stocked. The view from the back deck was gorgeous. A great place to end the day. Some of us had a hard time finding the property. And the gravel driveway was steep and a little tricky. I definitely recommend 4 wheel drive.

Great Fall Weekend!

This house was perfect! Exactly like the description. Very, very clean, updated, comfortable beds, BEAUTIFUL view and not far from town and hikes. Communication with owners was quick and easy. We loved this house. Thank you for helping to make our weekend away so lovely. We will be back!
