”Breakfast very nice”

”Very small room (booked the cosy room), but it had a lovely view and window. If I didn’t it would be a little claustrophobic. Very small spa but luckily nobody was in there. Spa isn’t included for people staying the night so you have to pay £15 per person per hour. Beautiful beach and attentive staff. I’d return ☺️ ”

”Disappointing experience . When I informed reception at 6.15 pm that we had no water for the bath or shower I was told there wasn't any maintenance available . So neither I or my wife could have a shower that evening or the next morning ( today ) . On check out I reminded the manager of this problem , but no redress or discount was offered ; until I asked for a discount . ”We had a lovely stay at Amelia Cottage while visiting family in Battle. Such a nice and warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is lovely and well maintained with many flowers. The location is perfect, it is close to the playground and to Battle High Street. The local supermarket Jempsons is only a few minutes walk away and that was also very handy. We will definitely book again!”

”The room was shocking. Very dirty and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Dirty carpets, dirty towels, even the net curtains at the hotel entrance were dirty. Avoid.”

”The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.”

”The room was ideal ***** for myself as a solo traveller. This top floor room was nicely decorated. clean, secure, facilities perfect and no noise from the stairs/common area, nor outside. Could not fault the room at all. Decor throughout the hotel generally was very pleasant. The lift was out of order however it didn't spoil my stay as although one of the agile older generation, was up and down the stairs in no time at all. ”
