Cozy cabin! Extra touches were nice. Location is a shared driveway. Vehicles went in and out. Also located on a somewhat busy road. The hot tub did not heat up the first night, but did the second. Overall a nice experience. Cute cabin with extras made the difference.

Nice little getaway weekend
This little cabin was perfect for us. Thanks to a well connected wifi service, because our cell service was out of range. Everything was very clean and updated including the bathroom and tub. Thanks for decorating the cabin with a lovely Easter theme. The new hot tub was sparkling clean and totally functional and enjoyable. We also visited both the close by Hinkley and Danbury casinos.

A birthday weekend tradition
I have been visiting this lovely cabin once or twice a year for about five years now. (Honestly, I want the owner's to do well with the rental but I feel like it's been my personal getaway so... let's keep this between ourselves.) The owner's take great care of everything as detailed in the listing. I like the solitude, setting and hot tub. You are close to nearby parks. And there are just enough small towns close by if you need anything. It's lovely.

Great Stay!
Excellent host, very clean cabin, had everything we needed to have a stress free getaway. The record player was a nice touch, we really enjoyed listening to some of the old vinyls by the fireplace, and the hot tub was above and beyond. We would definitely rent from Kathy again. Thanks so much!

Hands down the best rental we have stayed in. I cant count how many times I said "This is awesome! I love it!" the first hour we were there. Everything was so clean and cozy. They even had the firepit ready to go with logs and kindling. We will for sure be coming back!

The cabin is so cute and cozy!!!
The cabin was cute and cozy! They had it decorated so cute. The jacuzzi was right on the patio along with table & chairs. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked nicely… everything you would need to cook a meal. Close access to the casino and Hinckley. Kathy was great to deal with!! I loved the welcome book, it had everything that you would need to know about the area for things to do. This cabin was a great place to come and relax and recharge before you go back to normal life! Thank you for the great four days!!

Immensely satisfied
My husband and I wanted celebrate our 20th anniversary and visit somewhere we had never been. We chose this cabin because neither of us had been to Minnesota. Upon arrival, we walked in and fell absolutely in love with it. It was very cozy and homey. It is definitely a place we would recommend to family and friends.

Relaxing get away
Wonderful hot tub. Nice little cabin. Shares a driveway with one other home further back off the road. Close to state parks with lots of hiking trails or close to a casino so whichever activity you prefer is covered. Quite a bit of road noise from the highway so if your not used to that it might be annoying. Doesn't take away from the charm of the cabin.

Relaxing getaway
We were just looking for a couple day get away from the city and found two nights open here. The hot tub was very relaxing and it was nice to watch the hummingbirds feed. We used the fire pit and roasted marshmallows and just enjoyed the quiet. Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes! Breakfast pizza and fresh flowers in the cabin were a nice touch as well!

Perfect Cozy Cabin
The cabin was just like it’s advertised. We walked in to some fresh flowers on the table and a breakfast pizza in the freezer. Also had cold water in the refrigerator. Cabin is clean we had no mosquitoes!! Nice area to relax outside. Ceilings are lower but didn’t affect us at all. Bear Creek Tavern and Candy Store close by wonderful food and candy. Kathy is quick to respond if needed. Smaller cabin but has all the amenities and then some.

More than the BEAR essentials!
Cabin lived up to its name! Had a couple of furry friends wander through while in the hot tub! No bears in SE Nebraska, so it was an experience. Cabin was as advertised and had everything needed for our stay. Clean and quiet. Warning, if you are over 6'5 though, be prepared to duck a little😉. Low ceilings...did NOT detract from our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the property and its quiet location. Some have mentioned road noise, but didn't even notice it. We also appreciated the breakfast pizza! Thanks Kathy for a great stay...

My husband and I are always looking for a different place to stay for our anniversary. And to get away from the city. We enjoy the peace and quiet of the rural areas. This cabin delivered on all levels. It was clean, away from big city, rural setting, fully furnished. You just have to bring whatever food and drink. The rest was there. Even had wildlife checking on us every morning and evening. The hot tub was amazing. We will definitely consider this cabin in the future.

Another perfect weekend!!
This was my second stay at Kathy's cabin & my friend and I had a fantastic time. The cabin is cozy, clean, and the perfect getaway. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast pizza was delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside- it was so nice to have multiple seating options available. We explored the area and picked up some goodies at the cute candy store down the road. We also ventured down to Tobie's for lunch one day. Kathy is a great communicator and has thought of everything!! Thanks for another fantastic weekend. I'll definitely be back!

Great experience
The cabin is very cozy, and perfect for playing games or watching movies. It's northern mn, so bring bug spray. The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful, and i would recommend this cabin to anyone just knowing how nice of people they are.

We arrived, parked and stayed. Very clean, cozy, and relaxing. Was a little rainy and overcast weekend, didn't get a chance to use fire pit. Didn't use grill, only because we didn't want or need to. Hot tub was a definite plus! Will be back! Thank you.

This cabin is adorable and the perfect size for a small family. Everything we needed was in the cabin, very comfortable. We had bad weather during our stay so we couldn’t enjoy the hot tub much but we plan on coming back again sometime!

Perfect Little Getaway
This is an amazing little cabin, literally tucked away beside a creek, perfect for relaxation as well as work. There was wifi so we could stay connected and there was a hot tub so we could stay relaxed. Bonus that the hot tub is thoroughly cleaned after every stay plus the host leaves little cleaning packets to use nightly. Like others have mentioned, the ceiling is low, so if you are tall, you might need to duck a bit, but why stand when you can relax in the hot tub, or lounge on the couch watching the TV that comes with streaming apps? :) The bedding was super warm, soft, and comfortable. The cabin is the perfect size for two people to stay for a week but not be on top of each other. There were more than enough cooking utensils (and a grill!) to make great meals and it's a 30-second drive to Bear Creek Tavern (delicious broasted chicken and a pool table), or a 10-minute drive to the casino (delicious steakhouse). We got to see deer every morning and evening, some walked right up to the cabin windows. It was impeccably clean, with plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels for both bathing and the hot tub, as well as dish soap and hand soap. Kathy was a wonderful host, responsive and thoughtful and you can tell she takes pride and care in this cabin. The Kettle River breakfast pizza in the freezer was amazing. Highly recommend! We already are making plans to come back when we can enjoy the area and amenities but with much less snow.

Relaxing Cozy Cabin Vacation
We loved our time in the Bear Creek cabin. Everything was welcoming, clean, and well maintenaned and cared for. There were so many thoughtful touches such as handmade soap, a variety of coffee, treats, games, and more. The fireplace and hot tub were both an inviting place to relax after a trip to see the frozen waterfall in Sandstone. Wonderful stay!

Very happy with the cabin. Its very cozy and tastefully decorated and the hot tub makes it even better! I would definitely recommend this cabin, the only turnoff might be that the ceilings are low. Im 5'8 and I can put my hands flat on the ceilings.

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing 2 night getaway - the cabin fully met our expectations. While clearly an older structure, it was upgraded in the important facilities and very nicely laid out and decorated. Exceptionally clean! We, unfortunately, timed our stay with a significant ice storm. We did relax and watched the deer in the woods while soaking in the hot tub - very nice. Even though the cabin is just off the highway we never heard any traffic. The nearby tavern was awesome. I know there is much more we could have done, but the ice/rain hampered outdoor activities. We would highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Hideway
This was our second stay as a couple. Our first was in the fall of 2020 after our cancelled covid wedding. This time was just as amazing! The personal touches of the cabin were so welcoming. We loved the hot tub in winter. Our only request would be salt left out to melt the ice from the water over flow that turned into ice for our next hot tub trip. Otherwise everything was great! The nature was AMAZING on this stay. We probably saw a dozen deer either roaming, sleeping, or moving along in their journey. In one morning or our stay a deer had walked right up to the cabin to the bedroom window and scared the you life out of me staring into the window of the cabin on the creek side. I took so many photos of the deer and woodpeckers enjoying the creek side part of the cabin. Such a perfect getaway for a couple or a girls weekend! Can’t wait to go back again!

Great Weekend Away
We had a great time spending a long weekend at this property. Everything was as described and the coffee and pizza provided were a nice bonus. The hot tub was all ready to go when we got there with clear instructions on how to use it. The house was a little chilly (-15 outside most mornings), but with the fireplace, space heaters and large supply of blankets, we were able to keep nice and warm. We spent the weekend watching movies, playing board games and even made a quick trip up to Duluth. A great location with lots to do in the area! Would definitely recommend this to others looking for a northern MN getaway!

So relaxing
This property is clean, cozy, and perfectly equipped for a weekend getaway. My friend and I both agreed the beds were very comfy. It was nice to have extra blankets/throws around for watching a movie. The hot tub was really clean and felt so good to soak in after skiing and hiking in the nearby state parks. We also enjoyed listening to some old vinyl albums on the portable player…very nostalgic! The owner takes great care of this place. Highly recommend!
