”Excellent location right on the outskirts of Old Forge. Secluded, friendly neighborhood (seasonal houses/cabins) just minutes from the lake. Pass allows access to a secluded, small community beach or swimming area on the lake. Camp Pawnee is exquisitely decorated with custom furniture, paintings and other fun decor. ”My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)”

”Very convenient location quick walk into the village. The house was clean and well stocked and very beautiful with lovely art work. If you have a little one, everything you need is there (ours is one) so it's a lot less you have to pack. Our six year old nephew LOVED his room with the bunk beds, the kids books and toys. The owners are quick to respond and answer any questions you might have. We had a great time kayaking. Can't wait to stay here again. ”

”My in-laws an my husband were camping in Old Forge for years and this time we got back with our kids to show them Adirondack mountains. Everything was great! The property is big, clean and ready to accept renters. Large fire pit was the place for our evenings with kids and grandparents. The balcony was our place for breakfasts and dinners. Very homie atmosphere. Close proximity to Old Forge. Loved it and will be back for sure!”

”This was our family’s 4th summer to the ADKs. This cabin was by far the BEST one! It had everything a family would need. Space, peacefulness, fully stocked with whatever you would need (from the kitchen to bathrooms to wood for the campfire). The kids never said they were bored once. Which if anyone knows our kids, that really says something lol. We are most certainly looking at booking this same cabin next summer. We just don’t know if we can do a full week. ”This place was so adorable and had literally everything we needed for a fun week. ”This cabin was beautiful, no detail missed. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was comfortable and there were plenty of towels for our group of 7, which usually is not the case. The upstairs slept all of us comfortably and the bed curtains were a beautiful touch that added the perfect amount of privacy. The location of the hot tub and fire pit were perfect to allow our group to enjoy either while still being able to maintain conversation. No complaints. Definitely recommend a stay here ”

”Beautiful cabin in a rural NY setting. Lindsay was an excellent host, with a rapid turn around response for my inquiries. Due to car trouble we needed to stay an extra night, which was available! The cabin was clean, the fire pit was wonderful, there was lots of birds and I also saw 2 toads. Would absolutely stay here again.”

So many great kid friendly hiking trails near by, clean swim area and a clean and comfortable cabin to rest, read and play games.
