Your four-legged companions are just as welcome as you are! The nearby lake and lush walking paths offer scenic trails for dogs to explore, with spots for off-leash fun. The Wierdense Veld nature reserve is just a short drive away and offers pet-welcoming routes through heather fields and forests. After a long walk, unwind on the lodge’s covered terrace while your pet relaxes in the garden. Here, the outdoors are for everyone—tails included!

Located just 12 km from Almelo, the lodge makes a great base to discover charming villages, cycle through green landscapes, or dine in cozy bistros. While the park’s restaurant is temporarily closed, you’ll find plenty of pet-friendly eateries nearby—ask for recommendations in the welcome folder. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or outdoor adventures, this lodge delivers an inviting and memorable Dutch countryside experience.
Note: During Easter, the event Hexel on Wheels will take place on Saturday, April 4, and Monday, April 6, next to the park. This is a fun cross-event for both young and old. Please note that the event will be audible from within the park.
