”I was a bit hesitant staying at a Marston hotel due to previous experience bit this property restored that.
Staff from outset were welcoming and the rooms was better than expected.
Food in the restaurant was amazing.
Overall the 2 day stay was well worth it.
Would deffently stay here again. ”
”Great pub, exceptionally clean, comfortable and modern rooms and super friendly staff. As a bonus, the food is of a very high standard and the Guinness was decent. Can’t fault this place in any way, stopped here to be in the area for the snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield, it was a 20 minute taxi ride from here to Sheffield Town Centre. As Arnie said….. I’ll be back 😂”
”Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...
”We had a lovely stay at this hotel and really couldn’t fault it all. The staff were lovely, warm, friendly, very kind & obliging, the room had all the facilities you needed, was very clean, quiet and had fabulous views. The food in the restaurant was very good & offered a nice selection. The continental breakfast was perfect (muesli, granola, mixed berries, yoghurt etc - all my favourite things) & they even provided oatmilk. Above all that it was exceptional value, so we’ll definitely come again...

”This hotel is located in a beautiful old building with a gorgeous garden. The rooms are charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each day and the bar in the evening. Nice wine selection! Its a great locattion for visiting Chatsworth House and the beautful scenery of the Peak Distict.”

”The Devonshire arms in baslow was a very quaint and beautifully decorated in for us to stay. It encapsulated the English countryside vibe that we were going for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and pub area was excellent. We absolutely loved being there, and glad we were there for three nights. ”Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.”
