Holme Low Hotellit

”The only positive from our stay, if it didn’t Happen, would have actually been a blessing . The front desk agreed to help us check in later than possible by leaving key in lockbox. Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly...

”We had a great stay. Our hosts were fantastic!”

”Our stay was absolutely amazing! The spacious, clean, and refurbished room with a super comfortable bed was just what we needed. The full English breakfast had generous portions, and every meal was delicious. The staff were excellent, chatty, welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic! We loved every minute and can't wait to stay again. Highly recommended! 🤩✨”

”We had a fantastic stay at The Old Rectory. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable we had in a 3 week tour of the UK! The host, Dave was lovely. So helpful in recommending local sights, and made a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the morning. The location was fantastic as well, Easy to walk to the High Street, beautiful bridge and walking trails, Annan museum, and restaurants etc. Thank you!”

”Very nice room, good selection and quality of food for breakfast and lunch.”

”Very nice hotel staff always courteous and polite nice clean comfortable room”

”Ideal place for our stay as we were getting a coach the next day , shops nearby for goods”

”Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

”Excellent communication from staff and really helpful and friendly”

”Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .”

”Lovely old house, the bedrooms were warm and cosy and the breakfast was exceptional”

”Lovely friendly staff, excellent location for the New House Farm wedding venue nearby. Room was quite basic and old fashioned but as pictured in photos. Was great to have a proper bath in the room! The cooked breakfast was fantastic I was very sad I couldn’t finish it all! Would stay again!”

”A lovely hotel with wonderful staff.”

”The property and staff were exceptional breakfast was amazing”

”My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.”

”The lady that we dealt with was very nice , she made my husband and myself very welcome. The room was clean but I have to say very tired , but it was a ok . The breakfast was fine . Can’t comment on shops as we went to a wedding so didn’t go far and the next morning we drove home.”

”We are here for a real quick stop. Easy location on and off the highway.”

”Paul and Alison were great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Paul even picked us up from the train station as we couldn't get a cab. Food was hot and great portions. Would definitely recommend, great value for money 🙂”
